Question About Sonic's Type 8 Immortality (Involving the Wind)

Okay, I have a question regarding the question as seen in the title. I've literally tried digging through the main wiki (Mobius Encyclopedia), other mentions of this, etc. and I haven't found anything about it. I tried looking in the page's edit history as well to find it was added back in 2013 on Sonic's page. I'm confused on where this still comes from. Is there any evidence for it or was it something that isn't even stated in the comics?

It's from the confirmarion from Ian Flynn that Sonic 06 happened in the comics

Along with the events being recorded in the Sonic encyclopedia

But is there a specific statement that says this? I don't see anything regarding even some sort of immortality in the wind on Sonic's main page as well.

Sonic gets it due to 06 happening

In 06 Sonic lived on through the wind after Mephilis presumably killed him

Basically speaking it comes from Sonic 06

She did say that. What's the confirmation it applies to the comics is what he is asking. Like the statement in general.

Ian Flynn the head writer of the comics confirmed that the events happened in the comic on his message board and then it was further confirmed in the Sonic Comic Encyclopedia
