Question about Deoxys' tiering

So this has been messing with for awhile now, and it's about Deoxys' tiering. Or more so, the reasoning for his tiering. Like, I know the wiki's reasoning for why, but it never really made sense to me how telekinetically controlling the Delta Meteor. Like I know that Psychic Pokémon's Psychic type attacks are scalable to them and other Pokémon, what I don't understand is how Deoxys just, moving the meteor allows it to have the tier the feat gives. So if someone could explain the reasoning for the reasoning for why Deoxys is Planet level, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The kinetic energy required to move a meteor of that size, that fast within a limited timeframe would be as much energy required to destroy a planet.
