I have a question regarding Power Absorption.
I'm working on revising this character called The Fateless One from Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and he's capable of absorbing "everything someone was, everything someone would do" after he kills an enemy, this is through absorbing one's "threads of fate" after he unravels them, either through naturally killing them or using his fateshifting ability. Now these "threads of fate" are the cause and effect of everything about someone or something, this includes their mind, body, soul, actions, lifestyle, life, death, and even their abilities. Everything about someone or something is given reality because of these threads.
Because of this i'm faced with a dilemma on how exactly i should categorize these absorbed abilities, do i only assume he would have the abilities of those he kills within cutscenes or would i also include the abilities of those he would've naturally killed within gameplay?
