Potential issue with explosion/other calcs

So what it woukd change is the area from 4*pi*r^2 to 2**pi*r^2, right? That will only make the result twice as big if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I suggested other way to scale the yield of a explosion to someone who tank it, is written in this thread.
 
That's the formula for a sphere. I'm talking about the hemisphere which people think is just half of the area of the sphere without including the base of the shape.
