The game begins with the real world / timeline (us, but in a video game) coexisting with fictional universes also existing in different realities than we do, and not just as manga or anime. This already has multiversal implications, given both the existence of these worlds, the structure of these worlds in their respective series (such as DB having 12 universes, Saint Seiya's cosmology, etc), and scaling.
We are stated to have the power to fight along side them at the very beginning of the game due to the umbra cube, though I'm not far into the game myself, so I cannot confirm mid or end game abilities.
The main character has the ability to lear techniques and abilities from his team, whether it be a DB team, OP team, or Naruto team. He has power mimicry which is the main method of him learning any skills (through the umbra cube inside him). His first real opponent is against Vegeta who was being mind controlled by an ominous umbra cube, and he defeated him alongside Goku and Trunks. They're shown as fine while Vegeta appears badly damaged. It is a constant point in every battle with an opponent that they need to be beaten until they're weak or unconscious for the umbra cube removal process to work.
That's all the information I have currently. One mysterious element of the game, is that there is a dark entity with a book that glows the same color as the malicious umbra cubes, and said book is able to view locations in different realities, such as Planet Namek and Konoha.
