Possible GOW Revision

GOW wiki,states Jörmungandr is large enough to encircle the world, which should in essence make him about the same size as the J├▓rmungandr of the actual myths, around moon sized. And given that the speed rating of GOW2K18 Kratos and comparable foes like Thor and Baldur is placed at at least Hypersonic, GOW's Jörmungandr should have comparable KE-based AP. This would mean 5-C GOW2K18 Kratos, as well as the same for the currently at least High 6-A Kratos keys on his other page, and of course 5-C rating for all those who scale to those iterations.

2018 Kratos is High 6-C, not High 6-A. Also, it doesn't really matter if it isn't a preposterous jump, but rather if it is right or not.

But the Wiki is the only thing that says that and it has no citation. Without in-game scans we can't take their word on it.

Also, due to the narrowness of Jormundgandr, even if he was as large as the planet's circumference, it wouldn't even be close to High 6-A or 5-C.

Assuming Jormundgandr has a relatively cylindrical body (he should, since he is a serpent) with a radius of 10 meters (should be accurate to a highball as shown when he swallows Kratos) and length of 40,075,000 meters (Earth's circumference) we get a volume of 1.26×10^16 cc. Using the violent fragmentation value of the body, 7.533 j/cc, it would take 9.491x10^16 joules to completely destroy Jormundgandr. And that is DESTROY, not kill. Either way it is many orders of magnitude below what Kratos already is.

So no, he isn't High 6-A or 5-C.

@Kep

Well that's good to know that the info is legit. But we never see Jormundgandr move his entire body, do we? Without seeing movement of the whole thing you couldn't calc the KE and are stuck with the above hypothetical body destruction.

Well then that, as a feat, is legit.

Although how do we treat the Nine realms? Would we imply verse square to it and assume all 9 planets are just lined up next to each other or what? How does that cosmology work?

The 9 Realms are said to exist on the same physical space, but the distance between them is not knowable. Physical travel is supposed to be impossible and all that, but they all rest on the same location.

I agree with an upgrade (not to 5-C) but High 6-A as it is consistent with World Shaking feats, the KE thatJormungandur would give off and the fact Baldur's death caused Fimbulwinter (A great 3 year winter across all of Midgard)

Kratos did not got that much weaker, he should be comparable to his End Game GOW 1 self.

@Dark

I'm pretty he's stated to be old and slow at various points, but this is by people who aren't of the greek world.

He's gonna get a rating comparable to GoW 1, 2, and the games inbetween.

He is only stated to be slow and old by others, and the people who said that were killed by him so their opinion of him isn't the most accurate, especially considereing he isn't using full strength the whole time. Also, Cory said he was just rusty in his first fight with Baldur, which is why he does not do as good at first.

To be fair he does say he doesn't have the endurance he used to (his first fight with Baldur's evidence and near the end he says "while I still have strength" in relation to the journey.

That's true, but I think he was just tired, and we don't actually know how long the journey was, it seems like just a day, but this much character development to happen in a day seems unlikely, add in the time in the light of Alfheim, and the other realms where time moves differentally, for all we know the trip was very long.

He got upgraded, so this thread can be closed. Another thing, we will see Kratos fight Thor.
