Well first I would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! Eat til you turn up like a Snorlax xD
But as for the actual thread's purpose, I'll get to that now. While I've been playing the new Pokemon Sun and Moon games for the past few days, I've noticed something really interesting and possibly drastic for Pokemon to possibly get and I would like more eyes and thinkers on this dicussion as well. I am also aware that this possibility may be something rather ubsurd, but I would still like the chance for me to explain and to get everyone's attention on this topic. So now that's been addressed, I can start.
What I found Interesting here that could possibly be given to the Pokemon verse are as followed:
*The Pokeverse possibly being on an even higher plane of existence than what we originally thought
*The Pokeverse possibly being able to break the 4th wall or have 4th wall awareness
I know already this sounds ludricris, but i'll explain before we instantly go crazy. First the beginning part.
Now the reason why I believe the Pokemon world might be on an even higher plane of existence than what we currently think it is at is because of this-
*Humans in the pokemon world being able to battle/trade with each on (get ready for this).......their very own Ninentdo 3DS's.....
That's right. Humans (yes even in the Pokemon world are capable of having their own Nintendo 3DS's and are able to battle. trade, etc. like we can in real life. In other words they have their own Pokemon game...well...withi a game. That would also mean that the game those players play on their consoles have their own players who play their own Pokemon game, with players who player their own game, and so on and so forth since it should be no different than our own games. And the fun part about this is that this has been happening in almost, if not, all of the Pokemon core games. But since it would be a waste of time to time to post scans of this happening from other games, I'll only post examples of this from Sun and Moon since its more recent. And the evidence to this?
In Sun and Moon when you reach the 2nd Island for the 2nd trail in the Island Challenge, you'll see a boat dock station to the left of you as soon as you arrive. When you go into that station, go to the left and you'll notice a little boy in the far corner playing on his 3DS. He is using it to battle with people in "Link Battles" that are "far away" from him and can also likely use it to trade with people as well. In addition to this, since this kid is specifically battling using the 3DS, that also should mean whatever Pokemon he has can dive into the game world of that 3DS for his player to use for those battles, which should further support that those are other worlds below that of the actual Pokeverse we know, otherwise battling would be impossible without the trainers Pokemon going into that world for their "player" to use. Now as far as you can go with the words "far away" is beyond me, but we've already established that each game world of our own 3DS games are different and separate universes/timelines. And if the games that our players in-game play in the same fashion as ours, that means they are able to connect to other universes too via the same battle/trade logic. And if we take this at face value, then shouldnt it mean that we are able to trade and connect to separate universes only on a higher plane? Since the games within our game can do that too? Along with the players of that game being able to do it in their game, having players who can do the same thing with playing their game and so on?
And now with the second part-
In addition to what's been established above, It might also be possible for the Pokemonverse (and yes likely even the most irrelevant characters with no purpose in the game story) to be able to either break the 4th wall, have 4th wall awareness or something of the same caliber. And the evidence for this is-
*Humans, even little kids, being able to have a 3DS inside our game when its a real life invention, making it logically impossible for them to know how a 3DS works or even know just what a 3DS even is.
Now despite how ridiculous and ludricris this would and does look, this actually should be a very fair and valid point. The 3DS in general should not be an existing invention inside the Pokemon world as it is a real world electronic and is what lets us play the Pokemon games in the first place. The fact that in-game fictional characters of a game world, even the ones that dont have any relavance to the game itself, could somehow know just what a 3DS is, how and what buttons help perform different functions (in fact there are characters in-game that explain what function to use in-game via the 3DS themselves, such as Kahuna Hala when he himself explained which 3DS buttons activate the Taruos function or when your mother explains to you which button on the DS/3DS activates the players running shoes, and they arent even Nintendo exclusive characters) and even have a 3DS of their own with the same exact functions should already be impossible unless they have awareness of the real world to an extent in order to know and gain these kinds of things. Hell in the first generation games we had a section in the PMC that had Nurse Joy (or her assistants), normal characters known by everyone in-game, literally run the Battle, Trade, and Communication Services for the DS. To support this claim even more, we are able to have the Mystery Gift Characters enter our games as actual characters to give us our gifts from Nintendo.
And that should solify it, at least for now
I know this looks ridiculous but it is something that has had me concerned and thinking for some time and I really want to have other Pokemon experts come in and discuss this topic over with me to help get to the bottom of this. I am also aware that since this is Thanksgiving, People will not be able to be online much, if at all.
