Plants vs. Zombies Revisions Part 2: Powers and Abilities Rework

Continuation of this thread.

Removal for Resistance to Temperature Manipulation (Full) and Death Manipulation
Full Temperature Resistances for plant and zombies heroes should be removed. All of them have shown to get frozen by ice variants in the shooter games and Solar Flare has been encased in ice before by Freeze Brainz. Solar Flare and the rest of the heroes not getting affected by ice attacks in-game should just be game mechanics.

Death Manipulation is in a similar vain, as it works on every plant except for the playable heroes. This can just be for gameplay reasons or else these Zombies can just one-shot the players and win instantly.

Space Survival addition for plants
All plants can survive on the Moon. Laser Beams have also shown being able to flourish in space in the comics.

Stealth Mastery Chomper
He's noted to be sneaky, does surprise attacks, and his tactics are to not let the zombies see him coming.

Shockwave Generation for Super Brainz
Can cause shockwaves by clapping his hands

Summoning rework
Summoning should not be something attributed to the hero plants and zombies in their physiology pages, they due it via playing cards or seed packets which is straight up not part of their physiology. It should be indexed into their profiles, so here's a tabber sandbox for each:
Again this is only removing summoning from the heroes section of the physiology pages, the bosses should still have it.

Non-Physical Interaction is fishy
Non-Physical Interaction has a bad justification:
Light from what I know isn't non-physical, nor has it been used as a justification for any other verse. Plants are able to damage ghost zombies, which should be a better alternative.

Reactive Evolution
As the series goes on many plants start to evolve at rapid rates: gaining new limbs, being given the ability to walk no longer being rooted to the ground, growing from the size of dwarfs to regular humans, new abilities and blatant strength progression.

Bill Nye the science guy even said that plants continued to evolve in the series and how they're a perfect example of evolutions.

I feel like Death manip resistance is still valid, unlike Temperature Manipulation there's no anit-feats for it. Also, iirc in the shooters they can break out after being encased and breaking out of being encased in ice grants resistance ice manip afaik so them getting frozen in shooters does really disprove the resistance.

Everything else looks good.

Resistance to Death might be fine but it should only be for a selected amount of characters (Citron, Rose, Green Shadow and Solar Flare), not for the physiology page since Deadly zombies straight up kill every other hero plant like Kernel Corn

Yeah it should probably only be given to playable Plants in Hero's, I'm good with it being removed from the physiology page.

Yeah the death and ice hax should just be specialised resistances for individual pages and not the physiology page.
I still think full ice resistance should be removed entirely since there are anti feats of characters getting frozen in ice

Bump (I can’t tell if enough time has passed for a bump)

Plants growing instantly after being planted could also be reactive evolution

Yep, approved.

Yuh-huh.

It's not like, great featwise, but yeah, it can be noted as such. Agreed.

Sure.

Non-Physical Interaction is fishy
Non-Physical Interaction has a bad justification:

Light from what I know isn't non-physical, nor has it been used as a justification for any other verse. Plants are able to damage ghost zombies, which should be a better alternative.
Striking an intangible foe is considered a form of non-physical interaction- such as hitting an air elemental as though it were solid. The same applies here for "light zombies", presuming they have evidence of that sort of existence, even though the individual photons they are made of are indeed physically existent. Still, striking ghosts is another form of non-phys regardless and should be noted in either scenario.

Reactive Evolution
As the series goes on many plants start to evolve at rapid rates: gaining new limbs, being given the ability to walk no longer being rooted to the ground, growing from the size of dwarfs to regular humans, new abilities and blatant strength progression.

Disagree outright with this one. Reactive Evolution is an ability on an individual basis- evolution naturally occurs in all species over time as traits fade in and fade out. In this instance, later instances of plants gain the ability to walk. But your evidence does not prove that a plant that could not walk previously can now do so, or that this specific plant gained limbs- rather, other, later members of their species can do so.

Thanks for the clarification

fair enough

All but Reactive Evolution can, aye.

Being able to interact with light is a NPI feat, so I wouldn’t say that’s a bad reasoning given that’s essentially elemental intangibility.

Reactive evolution I’m not seeing, the rest is fine
