Phineas Flynn downgrade

Well, more so they built a computer capable of creating a forcefield large enough to encase the entire galaxy and then some.

Someone should calc it to see if the barrier in its entirety actually is the size of the galaxy, because it's clearly hollow. Because I recall that being one of the arguments being made for it; that because it's galaxy-sized, moving it at MFTL speeds is Galaxy level.

If he shrunk a forcefield of that size, he could technically destroy the contents, so I think that the rating makes sense.

We cannot scale higher based on speculation.

At least 3-C is fine by me. It did the feat with no effort whatsoever if memory serves.

I checked the transcript for the episode.

Tower: Look at me, I have got friends all over the Earth. All right then.

(The tower covers the Earth with the dome.)

Phineas: In fact, we even have an alien friend named Meap.

Phineas: He is from another planet. So, really, we have friends all over the galaxy.

Tower: A small matter for one such as me. (The tower leaves the backyard; the camera then pans to the Milky Way Galaxy)

Tower: You will never escape. Never!

So covering the entire galaxy is "a small matter". At least 3-C seems perfectly justifiable.

Okay. That is fine then.

Sorry, but why is this 3-C ?

Making a galaxy sized forcefield doesnt seems to be this high based on the size alone, since it was hollow.

The forcefield also didnt moved the galaxy or anything comparable to a celestial body feat. And shrinking the forcefield would be out of character, since the tower was at this point ordered to contain the entire galaxy.

Could someone explain this ?

I never agreed with that argument.

I don't understand why we're allowing this kind of argument for a verse that has consistently been shown to not care for gravity. In some areas we tend to say "nope we don't allow that because it's physically impossible", and in other areas we say "it doesn't matter because this is fiction". It all seems so arbitrary to me. Where do we draw the line?

How does this even scale to Attack Potency whatsoever? Cool, it created a Forcefield around the Galaxy, don't see how that remotely means 3-C, and even it was, What's it going to use this for when it comes to Attack Potency? Destroy a person by encomposing it in a forcefield?

@Arbitrary And as I said under all logic this is a straightforward Galaxy level feat. Just because the show has its silly moments or breaks physics does not mean we disregard everything and cannot make calcs for the series. How about no one in LazyTown is Tier 7 anymore since a regular apple survived Sportacus's hit or a regular chair somehow springed Robbie to the moon? No one in Spongebob is Wall level cause we're using calcs and physics which the show very infamously disregards? Dragon Ball isn't universal because the shockwaves somehow got stronger as they travelled further? Just disregard every Looney Toons feat ever cause they all completely go against common logic?

The show being a cartoon that has its gag moments doesn't mean we should deny a clearly Galaxy level feat because rating it as such would require using logic.

One thing though is I definitely agree this isn't something necessarily combat applicable or something that he could just spam repeatedly at someone like a regular attack. It's just worth noting that under sufficient preparation his machines can produce such power. Phineas definitely should not be getting put into VS matches with people acting like he's a Galaxy level fighter by any means.

Phineas wasn't even the one who did the galaxy level feat, the computer did. I'm fine with rating Phineas at 3-C with his best known inventions, but to scale this to other weapons he can make is ludicrous.

Why wouldn't it be combat applicable?
Because it's a galaxy sized forcefield. It may take 3-C energy to create it, but the machine's purpose isn't to attack someone directly with 3-C power like some sort of galaxybusting laser or punch. Technically it could be useful for closing the forcefield and destroying its contents. But I find the idea of putting a regular kid who can hypothetically make one robot capable of a 3-C feat of this nature up against a fighter that can spam 3-C punches close combat to be utterly ridiculous. And I've seen several threads of such.

@Arb To claim that that forcefield was remotely anything close to a Galaxy in size (Mass), seems bizzare. The density of said forcefield is completely unknown, it clearly isn't made of any normal material, and the actual thing had a huge Circumference, However the thickness was really low compared to the whole thing.

I'm just nitpicking at this point, I don't neccessarily get why this should generate 3-C amount of energy, but alright.

Is somebody willing to insert a mention into Phineas' profile page that states that he has never invented weapons remotely of this magnitude?

I just noticed this description on Doraemon's profile.

Varies depending on gadgets. Universe level+ reality warping with the What-If Phone booth (The What-If phone booth can create parallel worlds, confirmed in Nobita's Great Adventure into the Underworld, where it is used to split a timeline into 2 separate, parallel worlds). Some of his gadgets can also ignore durability via different methods such as voodooism, body control and portal creation, among many others, but the comedic nature of the franchise renders most of them inapplicable for actual combat

Couldn't Doofenshmirtz and phineas be similar?

What do you have in mind?

Add in that there best inventions can do that, but the nature of the franchise renders most of them unusable in combat

This would apply to doofenshmirtz as well.
