The whole point is that Saints can't stop abilities that are either designed to heal the caster or boost the casters attributes they can only "adapt" if an ability affactes or would affect them directly

i dont think so. In FF7 Tifa was injured enough to where Curaga only extended her life long enough to get to a hospital, but each ff universe is different
