I don't think only the shield will save him. There are other types of attacks that Gwen can use instead of a direct attack, so 3C shield alone is not wincon. Also, this shield cannot protect Orihime from all aspects.

Gwen's spells are used with words, so she can use these spells while in anodite form, the anodite form does not restrict this.

You really need to read what speed equal means.

The combat speed of that faster character is assumed to be equalized to the combat speed of the slower character. Every other speed the faster character has is reduced by the same multiplier. This includes the speed of any attacks, projectiles, reactions, perception, flight, etc.

Only combat speed gets equalized,any other speed is stays the same.

Gwen is the faster one here,so she gets reduced to massive hypersonic combat speed to match orihime combat speed,but orihime reaction speed still stays at ftl+ giving her a huge advantage here.
