I'd like to know if I could have permission to make a profile for the Bodyguard from Mr. President. The game revolves around the Bodyguard named Dick "Rock-Hard" Johnson and his career of halting assassination attempts aimed for Ronald Rump by taking the bullets and bombs head-on. I'm pretty confident in the stats I want to give him, but my issue is that the game tends to take a political stance; Ronald Rump is an obvious parody of Donald Trump himself.

I just want to know if I can have the permission for this? As the game heavily associates itself with politics?

I'll just post my suggestions for stats anyways:

AP: At least Wall Level+ (Had to dive through a wall to save Ronald in one of the earlier levels, can charge through walls, destroy cages and do massive damage to statues easily, crumbles pillars just by walking along the tops of them)

Durability: At least Wall Level+, possibly Room Level (Can easily take hits from countless bullets and bombs, each capable of shattering walls and knocking off huge chunks of statues)

Speed: At least Peak Human with possibly Supersonic+ reactions (Can dive in front of trump and intercept bullets mid-flight)

I mean, since it's not Donald Trump himself, I don't see why you can't make this profile.

That said, be sure to make sure that the character he's protecting is referred to as Ronald Rump and not Trump.

I know it's obviously not Trump himself. But the fact that it's referencing him seems a bit controversial. And as I've said, the game associates itself with Trump and politics in general a LOT. Even through the level design and decorations like the billboards in the background.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that we can mention the character and the explanations for his stats without going into the political side of it. Like, we can safely mention DRHJ running through walls and intercepting bullets. So I can still agree with you.

The recent creation of a thread on the Staff Discussions board regarding the desire to keep politics out of VS Debates is the reason that I'm concerned about this.

I understand completely and it's a good thing you brought it to our attention first. However, it's not like you're making a profile for AVGN or Terry Crews (which were removed for being real-life people). This Bodyguard person is purely fictional, so I see no issues with it.

Wait, is this game a real game of a fan-made game?, because the profiles will not be accepted if this is a fan-made game.

@Dark

That's a good point. The game has to be notable enough with a long enough story to have sufficient feats to be posted.

And no, it's not a fan-game. It's a legitimate game that you can buy on steam. Also, the game's description backs up some of his feats.
Well Steam is known for his poorly made and glitched games (There are a lot of them), but this one is different, so i may let it pass for this one.

It does look like something out of surgeon simulator now that I look at it more carefully (I've been too preoccupied with other things to focus properly). Nevertheless, we have weirder things on this site.

However, the bullet interception feat is somewhat iffy looking given that Johnson can't actually outrun the bullet and has to run into the path of its laser sight.

That's why I left it as a possibility. And it's reaction speed, not straight up movement speed.

Most of it just involves timing it right. But there's one particular level in the factory where he has to jump off of a platform and intercept the bullet halfway through its flight path.

My only concern with the creation of the page is potential controversy. As for the reactions, if the bullet is fired by the time he's running and he can still intercept, "Subsonic" reactions might be a safe bet.

That is my concern as well, as I've addressed. I can agree that Subsonic or Subsonic+ might be better, too.

Just another thing: is it okay to rename the profile Dick Rock Hard Johnson, or is that too vulgar to put as a title of a page? And I'm afraid that would make the admins think I'm spamming joke pages or something.

"Rock Hard" is a nickname, so you can insert in quotations into his profile information, but I wouldn't put it as part of the article title.

Well, with all due respect to Reppuzan, if it is rushed obscure game, and extremely controversial on top, I would personally prefer if we avoid it, especially given all of the encouragement to assassinate Trump that is going on in social media. This game seems to play into that uproar.

The page will likely get vandalised in no time, and followed by the "Ronald Rump" character, which risks to start lots of angry versus threads featuring the character, and the like, which would alienate and cause conflicts between our members.

It is an extremely politically explosive and partisan era that we live in, so we should preferably do our utmost to keep such matters out of this community.

@Ant

You're the boss.

I'll admit my judgment here was probably rushed and poor here since I'm caught in the middle of exam season at the moment, so I wasn't paying full attention much of the time. So I apologize for any trouble I've caused with this.

@Arbitrary

Sorry for getting your hopes up like this.

Well, I am more of a co-manager than a boss.

Anyway, no problem at all. It is just that rioters are currently marching through the USA screaming for murdering the president, so such a page seems far too controversial for a relatively peaceful entertainment wiki, like our own.

@Ant

Good point. I guess this will be a precedent for later profiles then.

I suppose so.

@Reppuzan

You're fine. It was part of my initial concern that it would stir up controversy. It would've been nice to keep the profile, but if it stirs up too much controversy, then I'm all for it being removed.

Thank you for being reasonable.
