Namor Rework (Revision Project)

Please explain the context here. Why is Hercules half as strong in the water, and did Namor use a cosmic cube in some manner?

No, Namor gets stronger in water. Hercules was the same in and out of it, just Namor overpowered him when he was underwater while he couldn't on the surface.

Didn't Hercules explicitly say in the scans that he was half as strong within water for some reason?

Also, a cosmic cube was mentioned as well. What was the context for that?

That's why I thought that line was Namor's since he says "cosmic cube... heed commands of the sub-mariner" it seems Namor has the cube and so that line about being half strength would be Namor describing Herc since he also says cube has given him "the ultimate triumph he desired"

Context is, while Namor was holding the Cosmic Cube (there isn't an implication he is amping his strength in any way), he was getting grossly overpowered by Hercules on land, so to tilt the favor in his side, he uses the Cosmic Cube to create a large ocean ravine, swallowing both him and Hercules.

Hercules stating he is "getting weaker", is just some really weird framing on his end, if you read his complete dialogue he states, he isn't being affected by water in the slightest (due to not needing oxygen), but he's still getting weak IN CONTRAST TO Namor, who is the only character stated a reason for being stronger.

Like, I don't think this is that unobvious once you consider the full context.

Well, the author could have explained the issue of who was weakening or getting stronger in a better manner, but okay then.

What are the conclusions here so far?

Wasn't a conclusion oriented thread, moreso encouragement towards fixing a problematically listed file (Namor's)
