where did he get fate manipulation from? he himself is vulnerable to it, as he was scared of the embodyment of destiny.

and while thats true most of the time, if you have youre fate altered, and have fate manipulation, than you could manipulate youre fate back
 
I dunno on the first part.

However the second part is wrong. If you can rewrite fate, it does not mean that saves you from another Fate manipulator. Especially if their power over Fate is greater than yours.

It depends on the version of the myth.

On one hand, the Fates are sometimes stated to be more powerful than the Olympians. In other works, Zeus is stated to be able to override the Fates as King of the Gods and the Arbiter of Justice, but does not do so in order to prevent the other Olympians from following suit with their own favored mortals.
