Enhanced Senses (or rather Enhanced Awareness)​

Iharu Furuhashi

• In Chapter 62, Iharu, who was focusing solely on getting to Reno, was able to avoid ice trying to spear him clearly from his blind spot

Kaiju No. 9

• In Chapter 53, No. 9 was able to react to Gen’s attacks from behind with its wings as he fight both No. 8 and Gen at the same time. This is honestly just supporting evidence given that No. 9 has shown he is aware of its environment by being able to fight even without its head in Chapter 50

Just so I don’t have to make another thread, I will add two more suggestions to the OP. These abilities will be for Numbers Weapon User

• Resistance to Energy Absorption for Numbers Weapon User

In Chapter 59, it is stated by Reno that even though he was wearing just the arm piece of Numbers Weapon 6, it actively drain his strength to such a degree that he eventually collapse from the strain. After training, Reno is now able to utilize the weapon competently enough that it doesn't drain his energy in Chapter 60. Of course, if accepted, this will also applies to Gen and Isao since they don't experience this problem as well.

Resistance to Energy Absorption (Could competently wield his Numbers Weapons in combat, which forcibly drains the user’s strength) for Gen and Isao

Resistance to Energy Absorption (After training to use Numbers Weapon 6 he can utilize it normally without it forcibly draining his strength) for Reno

• Resistance to Madness Manipulation for Numbers Weapon User

Numbers Weapon User should get this for being able to regain and keep their sanity when utilizing Numbers Weapons on the battlefield.

Due to synching with the massive energy and cells of a Daikaiju, NW Users experiences stimulation in their brain that causes their basic human nature and desires to bubble to the surface. And depending on the personality, the impulses is more than enough to cause NW users to lose control and destroy their own bodies. This is certainly so when on a battlefield as the mind and body enters such an extreme state that it leaves the users vulnerable enough to be lose control [Chapter 62]

This is further supported that when Reno regain his sanity, it is stated that his psywave patterns has returned to normal [Chapter 63]

Resistance to Madness Manipulation (Experienced Numbers Weapon Users can resist losing their minds while on a battlefield, as numbers weapons can push users' basic human nature and desires to the forefront, which can trigger an impulse powerful enough to destroy their own bodies)

Iharu's could be a mix of speed and luck, the stuff behind him seem to miss him when he's already past them, and he ducks to avoid things that are in his line of sight.

Kaiju n.9's fine.

Is there any evidence that Reno actively resists the draining instead of having just more energy/stamina/endurance etc...?

About the last thing, couldn't it be that the effect of the overstimulation just wore off, because of the situation having become less extreme? (since that's what causes them to lose control, apparently, the guy says these things don't happen during training).

Hmmm, there may be something to the speed point given it was reveal that Iharu can cause his combat prowess to greatly increase in short bursts when he gets into the zone.

As I figure, No. 9 is a pretty blatant case

We see that in Chapter 59, in about mere seconds from just wearing the arm piece, Reno's strength was rapidly drain to where he eventually hallucinate and pass out from the strain. Later in Chapter 60, he have not just the arm piece, but the entire weapon (or armor) in just a month of raising his levels to combat ready status, a task that Juugo had figured to be impossible. If just the arm piece alone was enough to make him pass out before in seconds, the whole equipment would definitely exert a much greater drain overall.

Yet Reno, in just a month, was perfectly fine and during the ten minutes trial period Reno was given (Chapter 60 to 63), he never shown his stamina being affected whilst in battle (in fact, in Chapter 60, he was exerting more on himself as he say he need to bring results before the short time limit).

Even as he destroy his body in his desires to get stronger very fast, he never slow down or complained that his strength is dwindling due to the energy absorption of the Numbers Weapon. The Defense Force who was also monitoring his physical (In Chapter 62 and 63, they were shown monitoring his and Iharu's combat powers rising and decreasing) and mental progress (In Chapter 60 and 63, they were monitoring his mental state) never mention that his stamina was falling.

Although even if Resistance to Energy Absorption is not accepted, it would still make for a great stamina justification

I don't really know, for Reno, he is still admittingly inexperienced and loss control over himself while on the battlefield (This is his first time fighting in an actual battle with the weapon). Although he eventually snapped out of its thanks to Iharu and regain his sanity

Although it probably won't be the case for experienced NW users like Gen (Chapter 52-54) and Isao (Chapter 36-37 against KN8 and Chapter 49-51 against KN9) as they can fight in extreme situations without losing control of themselves like Reno

In Gen's case: In Chapter 52-54, he fought against Kaiju No. 9 as he was angered by the death of his superior officer at the hand of the kaiju and was doing all that he can to take down the kaiju, pushing himself to point of overexerting his Numbers Weapon and making his eyes bleed and yet show no sign of losing control of himself and kept his sanity

In Isao's case: He fought against two kaiju who proved to be physically stronger than him (one of them being enough to instantly kill him if he lets his guard down) and traded multiple blows with them while still keeping his sanity in tact

TL;DR: Experienced Users like Gen and Isao should get it while Reno, who is still inexperienced as this is his first time, shouldn't get it currently until later arcs where he can fight without getting control by his own impulse
