Clearly?

You literally don't see any pollen, you just see the plants that release it, there is no pollen in that scan

Pollen all over the place
But not around his position, compare when it affected Madara to that scan

Yes, look how it specifically engulfs Madara, no pollen is around hashirama's face, the area around his body is quite clear, now look at the area around Madara and compare

Well, imo, the pollen (from the scans shown anyway) weren't around him to constitute a resistance as he didn't breathe it in, especially since there's a clear discoloration on where the pollen travels, but if there's a scan showing he was also covered by it, then sure

Lol we clearly saw in the Madara vs 5 kage battle that this pollen is spreading all around

Why are we using anime scans here?
anime naruto 368 corresponds to 621-626 in the manga, but the flower attack in the anime is not in the manga. In the manga, it is said that this attack belongs to Hashirama only in the Madara vs Kageler chapters and we see what the attack looks like.

Anime ep 368 is almost the same as Manga Chapter 624-625, only the pollen part is missing, so I used Anime scans
That doesn't matter, the Anime isn't used for Naruto, and for every verse without very specific circumstances, Manga is primary canon, Anime is Tertiary canon and if there's a contradiction or something that didn't happen in the Manga...

¯\(ツ)

No, guys, I understand that. We're still not allowed to use the anime, though. It's not canon. It doesn't matter if it lines up with the manga.
Isn't it enough to know what the attack looks like? It is an effective attack that gets the result and the user is likely to stay within it.

If that's the only thing that's missing then if anything it's the only thing that's NOT canon and not the other way around

The madara vs 5 kage stuff is in the manga though. Considering madara is just borrowing hashirama stuff it would still be enough to give him
See, but therein lies the problem. Madara wasn't caught in the pollen, and even if he was, that doesn't prove that Hashirama did. Madara's also an Edo Tensei, so there's no real reason for him to worry about it in the first place.

Wouldn't that mean Hashirama gets the resistances in his Edo Tensei key?

Madara surrounded the pollen flowers round both him and the kage some were ever at his back . Meehn you guys are too strict. Hashi no being resistant to his air borne poison sounds strange. Logically the poison would just spread back to him and kill him

No dude, this is a battlefield attack, the person using it needs to keep the opponent inside the area. Madara's statement that this technique is Hashirama's proves that the technique was used by Hashirama before. Picture the battlefield in your mind, my friend. What makes you think that if he moves out of the area after using an attack that affects the area, your opponent will not go out of the area either?

Not when the guy has range in the dozens of kilometers at least. He can use the pollen while well out of range.

Requiring canon proof for something isn't being overly strict, it's just a basic logical requirement.

If Hashirama stays out of the technique, why should Madara stay in the technique's area of effect? Hashirama's departure from the battlefield makes using this technique a waste of chakra.

Doesn't Madara infinitely regenerate Chakra or am I high?
