Does minato have access to kyuubi chakra mode?

Yes. But as he is in character he won't activate immediately.

Grimmjow will give Minato a run for his money until Minato activates Kyuubi Chakra Mode. Then it's over for Grimmjow. Minato has far higher durability, destructive capacity and striking strength in that mode. His EJ+ (Physical Strikes are Large Mountain/Small Island level to Large Island level.) striking strength alone is a real threat to Grimmjow's durability.

He's more versatile due to his Flying Thunder God and Space-Time Barriers. The fact that he's in Edo form is overkill, since he has infinite stamina and regenerates infinitively.

Which versions are we using?

If both are in base, Minato wins with better speed, space-time tech and Rasengan amped with Sage Mode once he notices he's severely underpowered offensively.

Minato is MHS while Grimm is only HHS. And since the OP didn't state which Minato he is using, I'm going to assume it's High 7-A. Stomp for Minato in speed, ap and dura.

Minato speed blitzes. Base Minato is faster than Base Hashirama, and Base Hashirama outsped a MHS Bijudama.
