MICHAEL/LUCIFER REVISION

They are byproducts of the existance of life forms.

Death came into being when the first thing that could die did.

Morpheus when the first thing that could dream did etc.

It's a very impressive applications. Michael and Lucifer essentially created The Endless accidentally as a side-effect of following Yahweh's orders to make creation.

By the way, this is unrelated, but with Lucifer #19, it's all but confirmed that the black evil Presence ISN'T the Presence, but an impostor.

who's the black evil presence?

I think you mean the Great Evil Beast. Conceptual Manipulation? Does the fact of ripping the page of Destiny's book counts? It's the deterministic idea of fate itself.

I do not think that it was ever stated that it was not the Presence, just that the Presence himself was considered as a false god.

Well, maybe. Let's wait and see. It could just be Lucifer rejecting him.

At least this issue had some cosmic statements, such as Lucifer being stated to be capable of "burning hell" and "Destroying creation", though the current writer probably has no idea as to the actual size of either.

We tend to go with what has been revealed in-story over Twitter author statements though.

Authors on twitter tend to be the lowest form of evidence. The only times I've seen then give serious and half-lengthy answers were Mike Carey's explanation of The Presence and DeMatteis clarifying that he is indeed speaking about higher dimensions in his comics.

In addition, J.M DeMatteis is not the sole DC writer. He does not have sole authority to define the character.

Honestly I think he was confused. The comic he wrote says that God comes from the void, and we actually see that happen in Books of Magic.

Along with what Ant and Matthew said , there is this"As such he is presumably just one aspect of Monitor-Mind The Overvoid" so it's the other way around.

I do not know. I have not read the entire original Lucifer series.
