Kirby stomps due to sheer AP advantage alone and has about the same amount of hax as Link.

In Mario's case, he has no where near the amount of hax Link has and the ones he does have, Link is either resistant to or has the hax himself and since speed is equalized Link doesn't need to worry about Mario blitzing him.
