And it was Kid Buu who was used there. Buuhan is all that, but not bloodlusted and far stronger and smarter

Buuhan vs Doomsday was done before, not so sure how it went but a big point of contention of what Doomsday could do about the candy beam as it doesn't on its own cause harm.

Again, just pointing stuff out. Don't shoot the messenger and all that.
 
Superman could definitely kill Buu with his Heat Vision, he's made it large enough to vaporize entire armies and might do so once he realizes that Buu is, way too strong for him to fight head-on (Buu is more than 4 times stronger, being stronger than SSJ3 Goku whom is at least 4x as strong as SSJ2 Gohan low-balling it) and since Buu's durability isn't as great as his strength, could burn him away and leave him with nothing to Regen with, so that's a win-con, though probably not an unlikely one, with Buu being able to counter with his own energy attacks, shields, or probably just teleporting

Type 3 purification is removal of status effects I don't think purification even covers removal of evil from someone's heart and if it does it will fit in type 2 and will actually need a feat of being able to do so
 
superman is incapable of killing buu so yeah buu could just keep hitting him until he got weaker and then absorb him
