Madness Combat Characters

I made a page for Hank J Wimbleton from Madness Combat, and it was deleted. I was informed by Promestei that the page was deleted before because other staff thought it was "an obscure character from an obscure internet animation series" which is completely wrong.

He's not an obscure character from the series, since he's the MAIN character. And the series itself isn't obscure in any way, shape, or form.

Need I go on? Newgrounds literally has a HOLIDAY about this series where thousands of people submit art and animation in the Madness Combat style every year. You're gonna tell me he's too obsuce, but people like

https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Ellis_Fahrengart

Ect ect, aren't? Over 3 games with one currently in the make that has over 1,200 backers from Kickstarter is obscure? Madness Combat is absolutely HUGE, likely the largest online-animation series in existance.

Even fan animations of the series get millions of views https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfSaleHA5Rw, more views that Goku vs Golden Frieza https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz2bOZFawIk

I never really had a problem with them being on here since they are kind of pretty well known on the internet...if one has been around on it long enough and happen to stumble upon it, one way or another.

We even had a calc for the series made for it here.

I too wouldn't mind having them, I can understand not having profiles for really obscure flash games but the Madness series is legendary on the Internet.

It'd be best to have a few more staff members weigh in.

Once enough people agree, I'll restore the deleted pages.

Can somebody explain what this series is, and whether it has a sufficiently coherent and large story to create any profiles?

If it is just a very popular meme, we should probably avoid it.

From what I understand, content like this tends to fall under the same sort of categorization as say, Homestuck

It should be fine to keep around on the site, it would just have to be subject to all the usual rules and whatnot, of course.

Okay. As long as it actually constitutes a full storyline, and is not just random snippets of memetic information, it should be acceptable to list it.

I linked the full series in my post. If you'd like to view it on YouTube, here is a playlist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9F7FKcz80k&index=2&list=PL4F761764995C5F15

It's not a full storyline, because the series is still ongoing, but that's also the case with most of the characters on this site.

I do not have the time or interest to watch this series, but I suppose that the profile of the storyline seems barely acceptable.

The plot isn't memetic.

I'll restore the pages.

Prom's right, Ant. It's really not memetic at all (especially the plot), the series has been around on the intenet since 2002 and the series has a couple online games including one that made it onto Steam itself.

Anyways since she revived the pages here earlier, i guess we can close this yes?
