Light speed's two values

So, i think everyone knows that light speed is 299792458 m/s, so a verse that uses just "light speed" will have this number, but a verse that only uses the 300.000.000 (the common number) m/s will be actually FTL? The speed page is also very direct saying that light speed is = 299792458, nothing less, nothing more.

Wouldn't that upgrade a few profiles? I think i have already seen more than one 300M feat being rated as light speed. Well, if i find them again, i will create a CRT to upgrade them to FTL, thank you.

It's generally preferable to mention statistics. If it's just a blog inserting 300000000 m/s as lightspeed, that's just a common error; as that could just be someone mean to make them 1c exactly. But if it was actually calculated at such via being compared to a light beam which used the exact number, then yeah it would be an upgrade.

I am more talking about quotes like:

"He can move 300M km/s, which is the same speed as light"

Wait, km/h? h means hour right? 300 km/h only translates to 83.3 m/s or Subsonic. if it's km/h, the formula would be more like 1079252848.8 km/h

300 km/s or 300,000 m/s would be Massively Hypersonic. Or 300 m/s is Subsonic+. 300,000 km/s or 300,000,000 m/s would be FTL however.

Does this honestly actually count as ftl? I mean, they could very well just be saying 300000000 m/s for the sake of rounding, and not literally being 300000000 m/s. Have I mentioned I hate upwards rounding? It's stuff like that that gets stuff like this.

Okay, i edited it again, now there is nothing wrong anymore, right? Damn, these km/h km/s m/s confuse my mind, you know?

Also, Lightbuster, that is exactly why i asked it, it could just be rounding up, but i know of at least one case, Desolate Era, a verse i and Damage are trying to add, where light speed is explicitly able to cross 300M in one second.

Okay, if the authors simply don't know exact numbers and intent was just regular light speed, I suppose it's just light speed.

The way I put it, light speed is actually 299792458 m/s, but authors use 300000 km/s and 300000000 m/s the same way they write a light year as 9.5 trillion kilometers: they round up to make things easier to understand.
