Lifting and Striking strength question

Is a conversion between lifting and striking strength possible? If a character has a Class 1 or Class 5 LS, what would his AP be?

Normally speaking, no, it isn't possible.

Unless of course, the lifting feat was a rapid motion, like throwing, pushing or flipping things.

Same with how punching can't translate to LS unless it involves stopping things dead in their tracks with opposite continuous applied force (Pushing things with a fist) with a push or the above feats.

This site treats Lifting Strength and Striking Strength as completely different and independent of each other. Doing an LS feat (like lifting a car) won't give you 9-C AP/SS automatically. Likewise destroying a car with a punch (9-B to 9-A) won't automatically grant you Class K LS.

One of the most egregious case of AP/LS discrepancy is DBS Anime Goku. Despite having Low 2-C AP/SS, which is infinitely higher than infinite 3D power (High 3-A), he has an LS of Class M. Which is the weight of a ship.

You basically need a separate feat for each different stat. Some feats can give you both LS and AP, for example, Hagoromo creating the moon and throwing into space gives him both Class Z LS and 5-B AP. But many feats don't.

Or stopping cars charging with your hands and applying continuous pushing force to slow it down or stopping it.

LS feat vs SS feat, using a car as an example

Lifting a car: LS
Destroying a car with one punch: SS
Pushing a car by yourself to 400 km/h: LS
Punching a car so it reaches 400 km/h instantly: SS
Stopping a car going at full speed using your bare hands via continuous force: LS
Throwing a car into a building and destroying a good chunk of the building using it: Both

Pushing a car by yourself to 400 km/h: LS
Pushing a car at this speed is both LS and SS, as you are pushing an object at a rapid speed.

Really the only thing that separates LS from SS is speed.

Stopping a car going at full speed using your bare hands via continuous force: LS
LS and SS both, but in cases where it doesn't stop immediately but over a period of time, you divide both values with the time it took to stop it.

I see, thank you for clearing up my misunderstanding.
