So I was lurking on the OBD and found out that the Z-Move Tectonic Rage was said to be calced at several dozen petatons. IFF that's true, every Legendary and their mother should scale above it. Maybe Mega Evolutions scale to it as well. I'm not sure.

"[1:52:09 AM] ?1: What is the biggest Pokémon it works on?

[1:52:15 AM] ?2: like tallest?

[1:52:19 AM] ?1: most mass

[1:52:25 AM | Edited 1:52:27 AM] ?2: so heaviest?

[1:52:31 AM] ?1: correct

[1:52:35 AM] ?2: groudon

[1:52:50 AM] ?2: does it matter that groudon is a legendary who is already Large continent level in base?

[1:53:29 AM] ?2:

[1:53:33 AM] ?2: heaviest would be primal groudon

[1:53:37 AM] ?2: who is ******* moon level

[1:54:01 AM] ?1: What is Primal Groudon's weight?

[1:54:17 AM] ?2: 2,204.4 lbs. 999.7 kg

Primal Groudon

[1:54:30 AM] William Proto: 0.5 999.7 3185500^2 = 5.07218301e15 joules

[1:54:48 AM] ?1: Or 1.212 megatons of TNT equivalent

[1:54:51 AM] ?1: For the lava itself?

[1:54:54 AM] ?2: oh jeez

[1:54:57 AM] ?1: It comes out in like ~1/3 of a second

[1:55:14 AM] ?1: Radius of ~5 meter and height of 6371000 meters

[1:55:34 AM] ?1: 5e8 * 3000 = 1500000000000 kg

[1:55:47 AM] ?1: 0.5 1500000000000 19113000^2 = 2.73980077e26 joules

[1:56:06 AM] ?1: 65.483 petatons of TNT equivalent

[1:56:10 AM] ?1: So continent level"

HOWEVER, I'm not going to act like this is accepted on the OBD. It's not. That's because one, it puts them above the Tapus which would be an outlier and two, it may not be going to the earth's core and instead just to where magma is.

Reason 1 wouldn't be true because even aside from the fact that we have the Tapus at well above High 6-A, they'd clearly scale above it as well. Reason 2 is definitely more of a topic of discussion, but looking at the move several times over, I would find it more of the earth's core than the magma layer (magma layer's not spherical and the move seems to be going past the outer core given the color).

I'd like to see other opinions.

Also also, I'm gonna have to change the Seismic Toss calc a bit if we accept using it on the heaviest Pokemon. That's something the OBD allows and weight isn't just for throwaway in the games. Several moves calculate it into damage done, one outright doesn't work if they're too heavy, one lowers weight, one ability reduces it, and a type of Pokeball calculates it into catch rate.

Questions

Are previous feats casual+Contradict this at all.

Does this go to the Earths core and why?

For Legandaries? Given all of them that aren't already higher than this are backwards scaled from Lugia who's feat is simply by flying, not at all.

Imo, yes. Earth's core is a sphere. Magma layer isn't. The attack animation has the final destination of the attack as a sphere. Plus, the orange layer of earth that they cross to get there looks like how the outer core is supposed to look.

Yeah. I mentioned that in the OP, or at least alluded to it. They thought the earth's core was too much of a reach and went with the magma at the mantle.
