Plot Manipulation Knight (Guardian Tales)

The Knight is the protagonist of Guardian Tales. In the story, the Knight starts as a new warrior for the Kingdom of Canterbury, but after a sudden attack by the Dark Magician, the Knight falls into a forest along with the Little Princess. There, they discover the Champion Sword (CS) and begin their journey to find heroes to fight against the invaders.

In this post, I want to discuss the superior hax of the Knight, specifically the Plot Manipulation ability that originates from the Champion Sword.

1. Plot Manipulation

During World 18 (W18), the Knight faces Plague Doctor Kaden, who has already realized the existence of time loops within the world of Guardian Tales. Kaden, after years of research, discovers that the root cause of these loops is the Champion Sword itself.

In the Otherworld, Kaden asks the Knight to hand over the Champion Sword, and the player is given two choices:

Give the Champion Sword

or

Refuse

If the player chooses to give away the Champion Sword, the game instantly enters a Game Over screen. However, something strange happens:

The Blue Fairy suddenly disappears

All buttons become unresponsive

A message appears: "This approach is not permitted"

The game rewinds time back to the moment before the Champion Sword was handed over

(Reference: )

This suggests that the Champion Sword is the foundation of Guardian Tales' story itself. Even the Blue Fairy, who is responsible for maintaining the loop, becomes powerless once the Champion Sword is gone. This heavily implies that the Champion Sword possesses some form of Plot Manipulation.

Since the Knight is the wielder and master of the Champion Sword, it is possible that they can use this power as well.

2. Fate Manipulation

This ability is demonstrated in World 12 (W12) when the player achieves 5-star difficulty by killing civilians. In response, Erina appears as a consequence of the Knight's actions.

If the player defeats Erina, a strange message appears:

"The scenario is not supposed to be like this."

This strongly implies that the Knight has defied their predetermined fate, which suggests a level of Fate Manipulation.

Final Conclusion

The Knight most likely possesses Plot Manipulation, scaling from the Champion Sword, which serves as the foundation of the Guardian Tales' storyline.

Fate Manipulation is also evident, as the Knight has been shown to alter predetermined outcomes.

If the Champion Sword manipulates the story itself, then Fate Manipulation could possibly scale to Causality Manipulation (mybe type 1/2?), as it dictates how events unfold within the world.

What do you guys think?

I disagree with the Erina issue, as it's just a gameplay mechanic, but I think Kaden's is worth discussing.
I think Knight has Fate Manipulation, but it functions as a Passive, not something he can use whenever he wants. The Champion Sword has control over his fate, making it so he can't die or lose, due to the Sword's will.

Erina’s defeat isn’t just some gameplay mechanic the Knight was literally going against fate. And about the Champion Sword, I’d say it’s more than just fate manipulation. It’s probably some kind of plot manipulation, maybe even causality manipulation (type 1 or 2?).
When the CS broke, the whole Guardian Tales world started glitching, right? That kinda shows everything that happened in the story was already written inside the Champion Sword.
So yeah, the CS isn’t just affecting fate it feels like it’s the actual foundation of the Guardian Tales world.
