I'd probably say both at the same time, but mostly the sword.

If he only cut it in half by using a sharp object, I don't think that calc even works.

Well if it's something like an asteroid, you either need the raw physical strength to use that sword to cut the asteroid, or have a sword with special powers that can do so.

It does. Cutting things in to large pieces (like halves or quarters) is fragmentation.

Technically fragmentation should be more than two pieces. It's still impressive, but not quite as much as traditional fragmentation.

Yeah. I think applying 8 J/cc is a bit of a high ball for that feat

Honestly though, I may not know too much about either of these characters, but I think Kiiro has this via better feats. Unless I'm missing something drastically important.
