That needs to be specified in the OP like prep time or being bloodlusted, and I don't even see any optional equipment in his profile.

But I'm changing the OP to allow it anyway.

He has a key in his Powers & Abilities section titled "With Optional Equipment/Power-Ups"

Not sure why the Standard Equipment page doesn't say it but the way we use it is to put a "*Optional Equipment:" below the Standard Equipment and list that there. A section in Powers & Abilities is more useful tho.
