Is this life force?

Let's say, A can passively reduce the opponents HP directly to 0, thus killing him nigh instantly , is this death manipulation ?
B can target the opponent HP, ignoring his dura and stuff, would this be life force drain?

I think I've seen a few RPG profiles treat stuff like this as Life Manipulation or Death Manipulation.
