Is Rainbow Light Legit?

Do we consider rainbow light to be real light?

There is a character who can manipulate weather phenomenoms such as lightning, storms, and intense sunlight. In this clip, he can shoot rainbow beams and the second character can dodge them.

Rainbow light happen when you shoot a beam of light through a prism or something else that split the light to all its different wavelengths. This is something real.

That said, what this character did is probably light manip but with him scattering the beams to all its colors seperately from each other rather than all joined together to make white light
