Is creating shockwave = 1 Mach IRL?

Feats :

is the speed of the card Mach 1 because it makes a Sonic boom / or shockwave? Or is it just a Subsonic because the card creates an after effect?

Tried that once, DontTalkDT and Bambu both demanded better evidence, stating that the shockwave could just be a display of power instead of speed.

But if it is indeed confirmed to be a sonic boom and has angles involving it, you can try figuring out the angle for the Mach cone formulae to get the true speed.

But in this case, its clearly created through speed. A card of that size can't make a shockwave through power alone

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I said that a card would be able to generate that power if you didn't ignore that the medium was fiction. You somehow got "so all calcs using physics are invalid". If you can't see the strawman in that, I can't help you.

You're basically saying things in fiction have to work differently from IRL physics

Simply being created through speed alone isn't enough apparently. You need statements that it is indeed a sonic boom.

what is your reason?
Simple, without any statements you'd need evidence that the shockwave is breaking the sound barrier and is eerily similar-looking to a Mach Cone.

Even if it does look like a Mach Cone chances are it's not going through without further confirmation/statements that it is related to a sonic boom or somesuch.

KLOL is correct. In fiction, shockwaves are far too inconsistent to be representative of Mach 1 speed. A sonic boom is necessary.

Because there's no reason not to. The logic is, generally, "fiction often uses shockwaves as a measure of things aside from speed, e.g. potency of attack". Thus, for the purposes of this wiki, it is not automatically assumed that the creation of a shockwave is evidence of transonic or supersonic speeds. This is how we treat all works of fiction. Shockwaves ain't a speed feat without supporting evidence.
