Immunity Negation vs Resistances

If Character A has 4 or multiple layers Resistances to an attack, and Character B has one layer of immunity negation, does by bypass the resistances?

i guess depends on how Immunity Negation and Resistances works.

for example it does not matter how much soul layer resistance that you can bypass if the enemies does not have souls.

Immunity is the absence of that aspect, for example lacking a soul. Being able to negate this has nothing to do with bypassing regular resistance layers.
