While a staff member is here, I have another question. Would a character fighting with a false form count as Type 9 immortality, kind of like Agahnim or (Debateably) Phantom Ganon for Ganondorf? Or would it be something else?

By the definition of type 9, no, as the character's true self needs to be in another plane [of existence].
