How do her abilities work, and what does she normally start with?

Although, she is actually part a witch and witches usually starts with Witch Kiss.

Not really, he start with his giant palm thingy because he didn't want to kill Yhwach(at first), otherwise if he want to kill someone(and by SBA he will) then he will likely to use Zanpakutō or start with Shikai, and yeah he didn't start with Shikai against Yhwach even after he say he gonna kill him but that because Yhwach is the leader and king of Quincy and he kinda want to beat Yhwach without humiliated the Quincy, so he just use normal Zanpakutō to cut Yhwach name and strength in half cause you know reduce Yhwach to ant level and then smash him to pieces is kinda humiliating, at least with half the strength Yhwach can still fight back.

The thing is she may or may not start with Witch Kiss, like is she ever show start with Witch Kiss? or is there are other reason why she not start with Witch Kiss and start with fire manip instead? because you know ppl have different personality so using the other Witch as example may not be accurate way to describe her.

Yup. Not normal power null. And Ichibei may be underestimated by Isabeu though. I mean, he looks like just tall old bhuddist monk to me. Maybe she use Fire Manipulation instead and she get power nulled.

If Ichibei don't use shikai from the start then he will certainly use it the moment he know she still invulnerable after he cutting her name and thus reduce her stats.
