Hydra (Dungeons and Dragons) CRT

I think the regen is consistent enough to list as non-optional. Even the source that said they didn't have it was retconned, wasn't it? And the most recent statements outright state they can.

Thing is, that the regen according to 1e and 2e is a power only a subspecies has so
3.5e goes directly against it seems while 5e there's no mention of subspecies at all so idk what to do here

I would assume that only certain hydra species can do it and the 5e one just happens to be that species.

Yah so it being an optional power seems like the best option to me

So if this is cleared can I apply the CRT?
No, because you're rating the Primordial Hydra far to high
So here's my proposal for a change
  • 3e: If the monster only appears in this addition or last appears in this edition use the given CR for the Princes. Which would range from CR 21-24
  • 4e: If the monster only appears in this addition or last appears in this edition use the given CR for the Princes. Which would range from CR 32-34
  • 5e: If the monster only appears in this addition we use the CR for the Princes, but, if the monster was previously lower but now higher we give them a likely or possibly 6-C rating
Its nowhere near Imix and the other elemental princes in 4e.

Okay I edited the rating and changed it to Low 7-B
Can I apply the CRT now?
