How to calc?

Hey guys. Quick question. I want to help more on this site, and after reviewing several things, people like Ant seem to like people contributing to the content revision board. While there were a few things that I did in the past, like informing Mighty about Pikachu's speed and trying to get Bowser's speed upgraded, and even doing a KE Calc, I don't know how to do the other stuff, like pixel scheduling and such. I don't even know how to do the calculations for things like vaporization. Could anyone help me learn how to do this kind of stuff? And no this is not so I can become a Calc Member. I just want to help my favorite site.

Funny thing is, give me half a year and I'll be an engineering major at NYU, George Mason or other similar schools I've been accepted into.
