How fast is this?

to make it simple I'll break down the details
please read slowly so you don't lose a brain cell

Character A was about to reach out to Character B's neck and Character B lunch a Lightning arrow to Character A body

the lighting arrow was about to hit Character A body but then Character C suddenly appeared, blocked Character A hand, and caught the lightning arrow with his other hand

key points
  • lighting was about to hit A body
  • lighting distance with character A body was approximately a few inches
  • Character C was outside the room which was at least 9 meter distance between characters A and B
  • Character C was fast enough to stop the lightning arrow before it hit Character A

question: how fast is this?
is there a calc for this exact situation?

Most likely unknown, magic arrow even if it has lightning attribute won't be considered lightning speed unless proven that it can actually move at that speed. So with this character C would just scale higher than character A who was incapable of reacting in time.

In the scenario you can actually prove the arrow moves at lightning speed ypu can calc the feat using lightning speed to calc a time frame
Timeframe*=distance B to A / Lightning speed
then
Speed= distance C to B / Timeframe*

The value will most likely be around MHS+ maybe sub relativistic

On low end you can just find the timeframe it would take for lightning (assuming lightning speed) is going to take it to cross those few inches(assuming 3), use that as the timeframe for character crossing the distance.

3inches/440000m/s= 1.73182E-7s

9meters/1.73182E-7= 51968400 or Mach 151511.370262 Sub-Relativistic

Speed of lightning = 440000 m / s

Few meters away from each other = around 3 meters
Character C was outside the room which was at least 9 meter distance between characters A and B
If this is true

9 / 3 = 3x Speed Of lightning (1320000 m / s)

That's a minimum, you could get higher via character C having pushed away someones hand and then caught the lightning

Meaning extra movements from character C + you can reduce the distance of how much the arrow moved depending on the assumption that you use that's valid

Wait few inches? Where that stated 👁️ I only saw that they were few meters away from each other
