I’ve been doing a kinetic energy calc for someone moving at speeds “near light”, and stuff like that, and it got me thinking: what percentage of lightspeed do we use for statements like that?
I'm not a big fan of using "Near light speed" as a justification for Relativistic+ and feel like it's prone to hyperbole unless there's more in depth context. But some verses said baseline Relativistic while others said Relativistic+ and the like.
To me, "near" would imply closer to light speed than not, so 0.5c would be a safe minimum if you take the statement as literal. But ofc, it would have to be consistent with prior feats etc etc
