Most admins (from what Ive seen) were promoted from mods (TMR, Prom and I think Cross, Kka and Kami), who in turn were promoted to mods for being helpful and active in the forums and other wikia sections.

You have to be as unbiased as you can, participate on threads, be logical, and make a lot of good edits (improving the structure of profiles, cleaning them etc).I think i made 1000+ edits on profiles before i became part of the clean up group and more than 3000 before i bacame an admin.Also calcs help (though not so much).
