Hierarchy in Concepts?

Well then, All started in a thread where Don't Talk brought the idea of "Low 2-C Concepts" and more,he basically said that there exist a "hierarchy" into concepts like he said, "Low 2-C Concepts" for Concepts which created Universe and more, i don't talk about the range of the concept which define if a Conceptual manipulator>another but the idea of a "hierachy" into concepts like the concept of time is higher than the concept of toilet because he created time which is necessary to the Universe. I just want to talk about the validity of Hierarchy into Concept (nothing like Type 4/3/2/1)

That's all, i just want your opinion about.

Just like reality warping connects with tier so does concept manipulation. Concept manipulation that can create/destroy universes is more powerful than just baseline concept damage. In general Type 2 concepts are regional, so manipulating the concept of space on multiversal scale is obviously more powerful than manipulating the concept of space on universal scale.

I obviously get the Concept potency from the range but there is a Hierachy between Concept such as Space (;for exemple) and toilet ?

Personally I wouldn't rate types of concepts, idea its an idea regardless of definition (unless one go with "aliens ideas" or something). One chararcter with concept manipulation could have more range than another one, but that doesn't necessary means its stronger (assuming it have the same control over ideas).

Reviving this thread because even in this thread there are contradictory statements.

DontTalkDT says that scale of the concept manipulation influences the potency of the ability even on a tier level.

Antoniofer on the other hand is stating that to be "range" rather than "potency" instead unless it's stated otherwise.

Obviously a different dimensionality does make a decisive difference. However which claim about same-dimensionality potency is the correct one? Is it tier-specific or not? The thing is I have seen matches, some of which follow the former interpretation, while others follow the latter interpretation. So... which is it?

Furthermore what about Types? I am sure that within the same dimensionality a higher type wins regardless of the answer of the potency question earlier. However what if the dimensionality is different? Does 3D Type 2 Resistance block 4D Type 3 attacks? What about vice-versa, i.e. 4D Type 3 Resistance blocking a 3D Type 2 attack?

EDIT: Also, I guess this thread should be moved to the Q&A board.

I think that we generally tend to gauge these things by scale, which also tends to include range, but I am not the best person to ask.

Concepts do have a Hierarchy. For some Concepts cannot exist without others,

The Concept of a Sword needs the Concept of Weapons. Thus, from Lowest to Highest

Sword

Blade

Weapon

Tool

Creation (As in A Creation, Artifical)

Matter

Space

Spaciotemporality

Existance

Though one could only make a Hierachy like this, it is hard to compare unrealated concepts. The Concept of War cannot be compared to the Concept of Trees. Though War would be more Abstract, but Abstraction does not nessessarily relate to Heirarchical placement.

One also must question some placements. Would one consider Light and Dark equal, or would Light be considered superior to Dark, for Darkness was defined by the absence of Lightm, and was thus, in a way, borne of it.

Basically its a complex question, without a singular concrete answer.

You example is not correct. You are mixing Darkness together with Shadows. Shadows need light and an object to obstruct said light, to exist. Darkness, however, is the default state and doesn't need Light to exist.
