Emily is probably gonna end up viable enough given her importanceProb no one other than Roo since she shows up in Viv's upcoming new comic
Zestial and Might of LilithAlso is anyone getting a new profile besides Shok.wav?
I’m pretty sure we see that they look there when that happens, then they turn around to see that others are hypnotized.Im still iffy on the MC resistance, since the Angels are so far away that they wouldn't be effected (Vox's MC is sight based, which is plausible reasoning on Val's immune given his god-awful sight) whereas the other overlords are never shown looking directly at the screen (we can legit see Zeezi's not looking at it)
I've check a few times and didnt see anything. If im wrong I'd love to be proven wrongI’m pretty sure we see that they look there when that happens, then they turn around to see that others are hypnotized.
Angel Dust wasn't immediately mind controlled when Vox did it, it takes a second to take effect so Vox would realistically need to overpower them to get that job directly. Given the effects aren't permanent, has clear signs, and needs work to even get it off, it's entirely possible Vox doesn't because of the sheer amount of work it'd take + the sheer amount of jumping that would happen to him if he tried it wouldn't be worth the risk.It would also make no sense for Vox not to try hypnotize Alastor, Lucifer, or disagreeing Overlords tbh, especially for the former.
To me it seems like the screens can help with the range given that Vox can control an entire crowd of sinners with them, and those wings were huge.Im still iffy on the MC resistance, since the Angels are so far away that they wouldn't be effected (Vox's MC is sight based, which is plausible reasoning on Val's immune given his god-awful sight) whereas the other overlords are never shown looking directly at the screen (we can legit see Zeezi's not looking at it)
The screens do help im not denying that, but Vox-Dei's wings aren't as notable and the angels were decently far. So I at the very lest question the validityTo me it seems like the screens can help with the range given that Vox can control an entire crowd of sinners, and those wings were huge.
EXCELLENT ARGUMENT, APPROVEDAlastor at the very least gets it though

Didn’t he do it instantly with Sinners when Charlie and Emily were talking? Also, right before that happened, Overlords were listening to Emily & Charlie too:Angel Dust wasn't immediately mind controlled when Vox did it, it takes a second to take effect so Vox would realistically need to overpower them to get that job directly. Will just say one thing though, his hypno-eye also appears when he is just at fierce emotions (excited, enraged, etc.) and does not hypnotize in that state. Although still, why wouldn’t he even try when Alastor is looking directly at him and his screen.Alastor at the very least gets it though

Yeah that’s what I was referring to with “disagreeing Overlords” (Zestial and Carmilla, can also extrapolate to Rosie too)I'd also add that he could have tried to hypnotized Carmilla to make the weapon but never did.
Didn’t he do it instantly with Sinners when Charlie and Emily were talking? Also, right before that happened, Overlords were listening to Emily & Charlie too:
They also didn’t turn except for one Overlord, who did it likely to check what’s happening:
As mentioned, Al facestaring him when enraged works enough (this is just after a scene where he was doing it on a mass scale). So he gets it. But all the scenes before it have good reason. Also for Alastor and Lucifer, he had all the time he needed to pull Angel Dust on them but didn’t.
He can turn off effects of his hypnosis at will as seen with Angel Dust. So he could’ve continued showboating but have a security in case they somehow get free. For Al.... dude wanted to showboat! You can't really torture a guy if they dont know whats happening. And Vox never had Lucifer in a position to actually get it off. While Lucifer was captured he wasn't put in a place where he'd have his eyes forced open. (Though one could argue that his statement of Vox being unable to kill him could count as a resistance statement, however there's no shot dude knows about the MC)
Its not as easy as turning on and off, every time he needed Angel Dust to do something he had to re-apply the Mind Control. So there is no backup security as his only means of using it after past use is by doing it again. He can turn off effects of his hypnosis at will as seen with Angel Dust. So he could’ve continued showboating but have a security in case they somehow get free.
He has good enough vision to catch a blade thrown at him, so it's probably him resisting it yeh.Isn't Val, a overlord, saying that Vox's mind control doesn't work on him enough proof? Or at least a good support
I know Val got a really bad vision but we don't have any confirmation if that's the reason of why he resists
We have no confirmation on any reason he resists, but what we do know is that his eyesight is so comedically bad that the plausible nature of it alone prevents it from being usable.Isn't Val, a overlord, saying that Vox's mind control doesn't work on him enough proof? Or at least a good support

He needed to re-hypnotize him at the times he wasn't that powerful, and pretty sure he could see with his eyes by turning on and off his hypnosis all the time between re-hypnotizing.Its not as easy as turning on and off, every time he needed Angel Dust to do something he had to re-apply the Mind Control.
He did it only once, and that was to show that Alastor is his bottomest b****. He doesn't really seem too much into torturing Al at all. Also, saying this out loud there's a far more obvious reason for it. Angel Dust broke out of it just from feeling SOME pain from being hit. Mind controlling Lucifer would literally be pointless since the moment you use the weapon he's breaking out of it. Add Vox torturing Alastor breaking out of it
I mean, Vox is insecure as hell.him not believing Al could get out of his contract and there's actively no reason for him to mind control them, literal waste of his time
Wait hold up what upcoming comic?Prob no one other than Roo since she shows up in Viv's upcoming new comic
..... Orange we have no evidence to believe he DOESN'T need to re-hypnotize when he's at his strongest. Also I didnt see any clairvoyant properties to it as Angel just texted him all the info.He needed to re-hypnotize him at the times he wasn't that powerful, and pretty sure he could see with his eyes by turning on and off his hypnosis all the time between re-hypnotizing.
He seems to REALLY enjoy torturing him mentally. As he just constantly does stuff in-front of him that he hates (bro was in bed with Val while Alastor watched) Him doing it in one scene is kinda just adding it to the pile, but its irrelevant given we have an example of his just casually staring at itHe did it only once, and that was to show that Alastor is his bottomest b****. He doesn't really seem too much into torturing Al at all.
Yeah.... but not with this. Dude didnt even register it being possible AFTER he messed up. He needed that shit explained to him because he found it so dumbI mean, Vox is insecure as hell.
We do not see any of them. So you can't argue they are looking towards it
It's not because they are tall but because Overlords are on higher floor (I think).(Zeezi is the only one tall enough to be over the croud)
As mentioned, Al facestaring him when enraged works enough (this is just after a scene where he was doing it on a mass scale). So he gets it. But all the scenes before it have good reason.

Maybe Angel listening to Val after a hell lot of time after the hypnosis took place?..... Orange we have no evidence to believe he DOESN'T need to re-hypnotize when he's at his strongest.
He seems to REALLY enjoy torturing him mentally.
He doesn't do that except after he immediately captures him though, from Episode 5 all the way to Episode 8 it's all Alastor manipulating and/or ragebaiting Vox whenever he is on the screen lol.As he just constantly does stuff in-front of him that he hates (bro was in bed with Val while Alastor watched) Him doing it in one scene is kinda just adding it to the pile, but its irrelevant given we have an example of his just casually staring at it
He thought it was about hurting Charlie, and it isn't very far-stretched that he could've done that at emotion or forgetting, so ensuring wouldn't hurt.Yeah.... but not with this. Dude didnt even register it being possible AFTER he messed up. He needed that shit explained to him because he found it so dumb
By the same argument we should be seeing their silhouettes in the MC wideshot, but we don't. Her size can also be a bit inconsistent since she's like several sizes taller than Vox. So if we assume she's just not that big in the clip, then literally everyone walked away already lol (granted, since nobody cared for the party its possible they just walked away from the table)As seen on this pic, their heads are more-or-less same level. If they turned around, their eyes would be seen like with Zeezi.
It's not because they are tall but because Overlords are on higher floor (I think).
Fair, although still, why would they randomly turn away after listening to Charlie and Emily. Precog Overlords true nuke?????By the same argument we should be seeing their silhouettes in the MC wideshot, but we don't. Overlords the second they are bored at the party ahh:So if we assume she's just not that big in the clip, then literally everyone walked away already lol (granted, since nobody cared for the party its possible they just walked away from the table)
Then he has to time it, which isn't easy with shitty vision lolOn god I want to call it an outlier, him having poor eyesight is a repeated fact and he misses so many shots
edit: Double checked and dude was looking right at them and she yelled at him. Even with the bluriest vision he'd be able to see something being thrown at him
That isnt any clairvoyant stuff or anything to do with power. Angel was simply never woken up from the previous mind control hence the current effects still working. Like im not saying the MC only lasts for 5 minutes but once you're snapped out of it there's no evidence Vox can just activate it again (if that was the case Val wouldve just had Angel Dust keep going)Maybe Angel listening to Val after a hell lot of time after the hypnosis took place?
TBF Vel and Val were already tied of the nonsense and literally none of them care about the hotel, redemption, or literally anything close to that. They even go out of their way to avoid it as seen with the end of Hear My Hope as they just DON'T want to talk about that stuff.Fair, although still, why would they randomly turn away after listening to Charlie and Emily. Precog Overlords true nuke?????
Overlords the second they are bored at the party ahh:
It isn't, but that doesn't mean impossible. If we assume his vision is that good then there's actively no reason for him to take 30 minutes to count 3 bills. Val can simply just be that skilled for his physicals (unlike his actual marksmanship, hes pretty decent with his hand reflexes)Then he has to time it, which isn't easy with shitty vision lol

Alternative interpretation
I was more-so referring to Vox's general antics for the party, since nobody had any real interest in that already. Its like stacking debuffsThey were not there in that scene butlosing tofighting two former Overlors.
This reminded me that he primarily uses gun for attacks despite having such a bad eyesight.(unlike his actual marksmanship, hes pretty decent with his hand reflexes)
IIRC they left because Vox didn’t care about them and just yapped to CharlieI was more-so referring to Vox's general antics for the party, since nobody had any real interest in that already. Its like stacking debuffs
Welp, I guess the most accurate interpretation isAlso rewatch the scene, them listening to Emily is like 3-5 seconds before Vox hypnotizes everyone…
to be honest is more about the fact that they choose to do something, that is clearly supposed to be a good idea, but ends up badly because of the enemy (i am talking about Charlie and Lucifer, Val is stupid)This reminded me that he primarily uses gun for attacks despite having such a bad eyesight.
Charlie, Lucifer, and Val when it comes to being the dumbest characters in the series:

I will honestly be SHOCKED if we find a character dumber than ValVal is stupid
Seems like they were hidden by the mass of sinners, and Zeezi was the only one visible due to how huge she is.Welp, I guess the most accurate interpretation is

CAUSE WHERE DID THEY GO?
Stella might give him a run for his money.I will honestly be SHOCKED if we find a character dumber than Val
that's what I argued earlier but Orange pointed out that she's not shown to be that big compared to the others.Seems like they were hidden by the mass of sinners, and Zeezi was the only one visible due to how huge she is.
I’m referring to Season 2 Episodes 3-4 for Charlie and Lucifer getting captured… this is legit Below Average Intelligence worthy if not for their other feats.to be honest is more about the fact that they choose to do something, that is clearly supposed to be a good idea, but ends up badly because of the enemy (i am talking about Charlie and Lucifer, Val is stupid)
Tbf it may be just animation error, they logically should still be there and looking. Especially since we see Carmilla and Alastor there later.that's what I argued earlier but Orange pointed out that she's not shown to be that big compared to the others.
No matter how you look at the scene it makes no sense lol
