Hazbin Hotel Discussion Thread

So what, we just accept they're all multi-solar system in size? that would make the feat go hard.

Wait, when Striker kidnapped Stolas, were they not possibly in Wrath?
We see the I.M.P headquarters, so definitely Pride.

My god all of you just don't like anything on the show
I like the show. I enjoy it mainly because I think most of the characters are charismatic, plus the musics are nice, and it's very nostalgic since I have watched the pilot day one (I was like, 13)

But writing a consistent world ain't Viv's strong at all lol, that's why it's funny to see people trying to find logic about Heaven and Hell when it's clear that Viv won't explore how both work in any way

Characters in hell have an actual transport system that brings people to other rings.

Now im just imagining Striker putting his horse in an elevator
The weird part is...man, he the elevator send was going down, but somehow send him up (how the **** does that work?)

I am gonna cry if Vox doesn’t regenerate in S3 because that will completely **** up the only consistent world building in the show
The regeneration isnt even that consistent in the first place lol

Also, could be a similar thing to Velvette where the inorganic body just makes it weird (like Vox technically only being his TV screen)

Angel doesn't instantly heal cuts to his cheek, while Valentino instantly regenerates getting impaled through the chest by a knife.
i don't think that is even remotly relevant since...you know, a cut on the cheek is not that bad compared to LITERRALY IMPALMENT

You're correct, Alex!

Impalement is the worse wound by far... so why didn't Angel Dust regenerate?
probably because it was not needed that much?
whatever the process of regeneration is, it is clear that bad wounds that could be lethal heal faster than wounds that are just bleeding.

pretty sure animals are made hell-side but I could be wrong.

Quick, someone check if Stiker's horse or some other animal took damage and didnt regenerate
I mean, Baxter was able to create a being that was able to regenerate from getting sliced in half (and was also able to alter some cockroaches to give them legs, arms and lungs)

Yeah but those are explicitly Mr. 'I created extradimensional TV' Baxter. No reason to assume thats the default when stuff made by him is meant to be built differently

Man pointed out a single aspect of what he didn’t like in the show and that means him and everyone who also agrees hates the show. Crazy ass generalization

It’s clear she has issues with the world building and has big ideas but can’t translate them that well and leads to inconsistencies. Either cause of time constraints or the overall writing won’t allow for it. Like every major event effectively happening within the past 7 years including exterminations. We’re supposed to believe that every time massive numbers of sinners are killed but every figure we’re given is in the hundreds to thousands for individual exorcists, we see the army and its only in the hundreds of exorcists, and then Vox over here says that thousands die in the exterminations. Yet we’re supposed to believe that massive percentages of sinners are killed when the number should easily be in the tens of billions and Vox even says they outnumber heaven even after the exterminations and says a hundred billion souls are in heaven. The fact that they’re trying to build the series around this 7 year window limits the hell out of something that’s supposed to be a major event especially when they give weak ass numbers for it that just contradicts what it’s supposed to imply.

I don’t even hate the series. This is one of the few series I actually still enjoy and one of the few series I actually still look forward to watching/reading when so many others just straight up disappoint me lately cause the characters are still entertaining as hell, the animation is great, and the music slaps. It’s just the writing has a ton of inconsistencies and issues that hinder it.

Baxter probably doesn't even know Shok.wav exists. Like despite designing virtually everything else in VoxTek’s security system, he didn’t account at all for Shok.wav.

i don't think this is a contradiction or a world building problem (not THAT BIG), it is more like a variation of the information known so everyone can understand it better, like the point that Vox makes is that PEOPLE DIE, and were killed by the exorcists, and Hell is clearly angry at them for that.
and while the extermination being 7 years is problematic...there were no statements about the number.
i don't think the extermination should have happened in centuries or millenias, you can still get the same point across without the huge amount of time "genocide is bad"

I mean maybe more power = better regen
