Seperate it between seasonsAlso we should add Lucifer as a staff member to the hazbin staff profile now that he's helping out
yeah that sounds goodSeperate it between seasons
She doesn’t scale to Val physically, only with knife. But, she casually severely harmed Pentious. Also her travel speed & equipment is crazy. So uh, we really should make a Niffty profile when season 2 is done lol. She's now got pretty alright Val scaling and if thats not enough being a sinner or the kinetic energy of her big run should be enough.
oh yeah, did anyone calced her travel speed? She doesn’t scale to Val physically, only with knife. But, she casually severely harmed Pentious. Also her travel speed & equipment is crazy.
I think people overhate Charlie a little, has if she wasn't annoying in the pilot...MAN SHE WAS, but i still love her even if she is annoying, because i know she is not annoying because of being annoyingAlright after finally finishing all episodes, here are my thoughts:
- 1st episode: 7/10. Solid start, good Vox villain build-up, nice backstory for him, good portrayal of Charlie's struggles and the conflict around Hotel is pretty clear. Songs are nice though there are better ones. Pretty much everything about this episode is nice, but nothing really outstanding. Just a good beginning.
- 2st episode: 6-7/10 (semi-joke, but really I rate it around there). It's basically a complimetary for first episode. Pentious characterization and struggles was nice, Emily was likeable, Sera and Lute were good too, but the episode feels kinda too long and without any real progress.
- 3rd episode: 3/10. If I could have excluded Cherri Bomb stuff from rest, then it would have been freaking 0/10. Charlie is so, SO stupid and annoying. She suddenly has negative IQ. I don't think I need to elaborate if you watched the episode; initially thought it was because she was on emotions from amazing news but then it went like this for an ENTIRE EPISODE. Cherri Bomb's feelings for Pentious could have been built up more but it's still nice as it is. Also Pentious' background is pretty good stuff. Songs are nice. Still, main plot was trash and I'm just erasing it from my memory.
- 4th episode: 8.5-9/10. Alastor and Vox's backstories are amazing, Alastor's mysterious plan to free himself is intriguing, songs are just great, Niffty was good here too (her first solo!), and the fight was great (choreography, fighting styles, Alastor's ragebaiting, Niffty & Val's 2nd interaction, etc. - you name it). I knew most of this but it was still really great. This episode still continued with Charlie's negative IQ arc, but just less timeframe and a bit softer. Another problem is we're still kinda stuck where we were at the beginning with no big changes, and it's been already half a season. Like c'mon, give us some plot progression.
I hate her in the third episode because she acts so damn stupid. In Pilot-Season 1, she is more like naive and delusional, but here she is outright dumb.I think people overhate Charlie a little, has if she wasn't annoying in the pilot...MAN SHE WAS, but i still love her even if she is annoying, because i know she is not annoying because of being annoying
I think the issue is we've had a season for Charlie to learn that sometimes, people like Vox are simply assholes, and she seems almost willfully ignorant to that. It isn't like Emily who hasn't really had experience with people taking advantage of her or simply being rude. Like, we are repeating the same issues she had last season. It's even worse when you look at things like how she was treating Angel. Last season Angel's issues with her simply came from her trying to help but only making things worse. Here, she actively starts digging into Angels problems in an uncalled for situation.I think people overhate Charlie a little, has if she wasn't annoying in the pilot...MAN SHE WAS, but i still love her even if she is annoying, because i know she is not annoying because of being annoying
I will counter this and say this:I hate her in the third episode because she acts so damn stupid. In Pilot-Season 1, she is more like naive and delusional, but here she is outright dumb.
First of all, interview with freaking Vees themselves to tell everyone about Pentious being redeemed with ZERO proof, then SPEEDRUNNING redemption and in that process thinking that mimicking Pentious will do it and even accidentally putting her friends in danger. All while other characters quite literally point out to her that these are terrible ideas, yet she goes for it with puppy eyes.
Instead of making Vox a master propaganda genius, they just did Charlie dumber than a rock, which is not believable at all.
that was Vox, not Charlie, but okay?Charlie didn't asks what Angel did to be on HellI think the issue is we've had a season for Charlie to learn that sometimes, people like Vox are simply assholes, and she seems almost willfully ignorant to that. Alastor won't help them, the guy literraly says he likes to be difficultOh and also it's funny how in first season, they went with Alastor to spread info, but here Charlie for some reason desperately wants VoxTek. Not only stupid but also inconsistent. C'mon.
I will counter this and say this:
-it has been the first time in all of her live, where she was CORRECT and her dream was true, she has been told by everyone (not girlfriend), that redemption is not possible and is impossible, and she even stated that she hoped that Redemption was possible because if it wasn't, then her whole live has been a joke, since it meant that one of her friends died FOR NOTHING and everyone was right at laughing at her.
initially thought it was because she was on emotions from amazing news but then it went like this for an ENTIRE EPISODE.
Then don't talk about it if you don't have proof? Or don't try speedrunning it with 100% certainty that it will work to Vs?-Charlie barely had anything to work with, since Emily didn't tell her much about how Sir Pentious got redeemed, she just told her "hey, yeah, Sir Pentious is redeemed, the hotel works"...which tells her almost nothing except that it is possible, but the process is still unknown to her, is not until the end that she discovers how it could be done.
Yea I didn't say she intended to murder them, just that it adds up to her messing up.-the plan was not supposed to be dangerous, it was only dangerous because of Vox interventions (yes, she messed up in that one, but she didn't intentionally try to murder them).
Husk just said that in case Vox & Velvette pose threat (like, actual threat e.g. killing), Al would save them.-Even in the same series, they mentioned that they could have dealt with the vees if they ever try to do something bad or drastic (they are not even dangerous, ALASTOR IS SUPERIOR TO THEM, they even comment on that), but off course, they didn't factor that Alastor won't intervine because...well...he is Alastor.
Yet he did in first episode. Like, she doesn't even try but immediately goes with Vox.Alastor won't help them, the guy literraly says he likes to be difficult
There's a difference between naive and outright dumbassI think people overhate Charlie a little, has if she wasn't annoying in the pilot...MAN SHE WAS, but i still love her even if she is annoying, because i know she is not annoying because of being annoying
She has proof (well this one sounds like complicated to say that)and she was overjoyed about it (again, she has been told by everyone, that she was wrong). Then don't talk about it if you don't have proof? Or don't try speedrunning it with 100% certainty that it will work to Vs?
yesYea I didn't say she intended to murder them, just that it adds up to her messing up.
yesHusk just said that in case Vox & Velvette pose threat (like, actual threat e.g. killing), Al would save them.
again, Alastor could have hardly helped in that situation if he continued to be that hostile...also I REMEMBER SOMETHING, Alastor told Vaggie that he will only let her do the filming once, and thats it...oh shit.Yet he did in first episode. Like, she doesn't even try but immediately goes with Vox.
Not for your soul, just a simple deal. I do this for you, and you never ask me to engage with this frivolous television technology ever again.
Charlie will be a dumbass if she allowed dangerous people on her hotel, with no protection whatsoever. There's a difference between naive and outright dumbass
If I ever remember how to make gallery stuff I might just a gallery section for all her outfits on the profile. Now that i think about it...man, Velvette is always, ALWAYS, changing dresses, she never keeps one consistent dress
Alastor said it himself:Charlie will be a dumbass if she allowed dangerous people on her hotel, with no protection whatsoever.
"Dear, if I wanted to hurt anyone here, I would have done so already."
irony that she did so in the pilot...and people don't complain about that?Alastor said it himself:
Here's an important thing you're missing, realistically speaking, an Overlord wouldn't just knock on the door of your hotel, introduce himself and just go in, if he had bad intentions he would've realistically started from before entering the hotel, which is the whole point of why he said:irony that she did so in the pilot...and people don't complain about that?
"Dear, if I wanted to hurt anyone here, I would have done so already."
Yeah, that's definitely a big problem with HH, even from the pilot Alastor was considered way more interesting. (technically she wasn't considered the least interesting back then, as you could argue Vaggie was, but Alastor's popularity was just insane.)Ngl I'm getting RWBY flashbacks where I end up finding the main character the least interesting character on the show and would prefer episodes where she's not the focus.
True, tho Season 2 one is definitely closer to his Pilot self, probably because he has much less screen time to boast his ego and is more mysterious.Rewatched the pilot and lol, Alastor's personality there is completly different. I wish the show still had him more silly
THAT'S WHY HE'S THE GOAT, THE GOAT!Rewatched the pilot and lol, Alastor's personality there is completly different. I wish the show still had him more silly
nah, i feel like is just nostalgiaRewatched the pilot and lol, Alastor's personality there is completly different. I wish the show still had him more silly
The Lucifer retcon could barely count has a retcon even, since he pretty much has no character dialogues or CHARACTER in general, more than endless speculation with 100% of them being "he is a bad father".Ngl I feel like Alastor was planned initially to be actually there for entertainment rather than soul-owned stuff, and his miss for 7 years is a soft retcon given that Vaggie heard about him. Kind of like Lucifer retcon but way softer.

Charlie: Why have I always been a failure? ♫
[A shadow of Lucifer looms over a saddened Charlie as demonic arms and tentacles cover the screen.]
It's pretty evident that in the Pilot, the intention was that Lucifer just completely thought she was a failure overall, and was likely a bad father. In series, they just didn't talk for long because of mutual misunderstanding.Charlie: Hey, mom. I know I keep calling and you must be busy... Really busy... But, um, the interview didn't go well, and... I don't know if I'm ever going to make a difference starts tearing up as she wipes it off her face. I don't know what I'm doing. I could really use some advice, mom. I... I think dad was right about me...
Genuinely isn't, this version of Alastor gets ragebaited easily, while pilot Alastor was getting insulted by Husk constantly and genuinely didn't care about what anyone said, while in the show bro TWITCHED from Carmilla not caring about bro.nah, i feel like is just nostalgia
again, no proof of that more than vague lines, and a character...not even present. It's pretty evident that in the Pilot, the intention was that Lucifer just completely thought she was a failure overall, and was likely a bad father. because Husk is his slave, and even Series Alastor didn't care when he talked back at him, he only cared when he mentioned things HE DISLIKED.Genuinely isn't, this version of Alastor gets ragebaited easily, while pilot Alastor was getting insulted by Husk constantly and genuinely didn't care about what anyone said, while in the show bro TWITCHED from Carmilla not caring about bro.
Not to mention Alastor is clearly more goofy-sided in the pilot, while the show tries to make him more sinister, which I wouldn't say went well.
This version of Lucifer isn't meant to just be all torture and just 100% evil with no redeeming qualities, I mean people in Hell have actual lives despite the fact he hates all sinners.man, i have seen Sendokai fathers being worse and they actually show how bad of a parents they are...ON SCREEN AND WITH ACTUAL DIALOGUE
i was reffering to the idea that the lucifer in the pilot was a bad father, which again, i don't agree, mostly because he has basically no character for him at all, AND NO DIALOGUES ON HIS OWN.This version of Lucifer isn't meant to just be all torture and just 100% evil with no redeeming qualities, I mean people in Hell have actual lives despite the fact he hates all sinners.
again, no proof of that more than vague lines, and a character...not even present.
Alastor got ragebaited in a matter of seconds by Lucifer TWICE, like wthGenuinely isn't, this version of Alastor gets ragebaited easily, while pilot Alastor was getting insulted by Husk constantly and genuinely didn't care about what anyone said, while in the show bro TWITCHED from Carmilla not caring about bro.
"I'm Radio Demon! Be scared!"Not to mention Alastor is clearly more goofy-sided in the pilot, while the show tries to make him more sinister, which I wouldn't say went well.
"Just Nostalgia"nah, i feel like is just nostalgia
