I’m talking about style of battle here. He usually SPAMS with attacks, overwhelming opponent, and dodges only via melting into shadows.
Again, rewatch fight with 100% Vox and tell me he was doing the same thing in S1.
Even Husk, the guy who reads people easily, couldn’t figure out that Alastor was weakened with broken staff.

Weakened Al dodging bullets could be nice supportive for sub-supersonic and Cherri bomb's explosions in the Piss song could be nice as there were talks about it in the 9-A downgrade thread

Honestly we just need one good explosion example since all her standard bombs should scale to it. The one worth mentioning in the love song doesn't have the explosion shown proper to use

I am saying reason why Al’s didn’t do cool extra stuff is because of the budget, he still used those abilities. He DIDNT use his beams.

And my argument is that he didn't transform into shadows but was cocky enough to dodge everything point blank, did not try to constantly overwhelm him and didn't spam with attacks. It's not just about "cool effects"; it's his fighting style in general.

He wasn’t cocky, he knew any mistakes could result in death
What would that do? He DID overwhelm Adam with minions and then slammed him into a wall likely planning to spam more but it proved to be a mistake as Adam uhm one shot him. Transforming into shadows seems like a last resort escape most of the time. He also did use the shadows to sneak attack Adam
