I mean, the more experienced characters like Bellatrix, Sirius, Snape, McGonagall, Kingsley, Mad-Eye, etc. would do well against others in their own tier due to being...y'know, legitimately skilled wizards. Who've been shown using Protego nonverbally in order to consistently block spells/projectiles/etc. that're sent their way. Sadly, nobody ever uses those characters in battles. (Largely because the majority of them don't even have profiles yet)
It's just Harry, Dumbledore, Grindelwald and Voldemort who have trouble in their fights, since the former lacks skill and the latter three are glass cannons.
