It's probably about even, given Sidious was a challenge to every jedi in 25,000 years, including Revan, Yoda, Hero of Tython, Mace Windu, Arcann (if redeemed?), and a **** ton of High 6-As, some of whom have defeated 1 of those characters mentioned, and some of whom might scale to Darth Bane's Low 5-B feat, but that last one was never picked up.


Point being, power isn't a big issue

Sidious has plenty of hax besides Mind Hax. It's honestly not his best trick in SW

Hal Jordan.

+Hal can most likely resist Sidious mind manipulation or the dark lord has not enough time to succeed if he is able to do it at all.

+Hal has the strength advantage going by the fact that he can punch/hurt beeings like Superman and Lobo.

+Hal can escape the black hole thingy Sidious possible can summon.

+Hal can block force lightning and all the stuff Sidious can throw at him.

+The ring can analyse Sidious force abilities. Also Hal is smart enough to do it himself.

1. Even speed would be on Hals side if it mattered.

-Sidious precog does not helps him that much in actual battle. It's more useful in a long time scenario.

-Sidious most effective mind manipulation (like the manipulation of all the jedi) is more passive. In actual battle it only has use if his opponent is already weakened by the dark side.

-Many of Sidious feats are based on manipulation of the force itself. Since Hal does not use the force Sidious feats are easily cut in half.

For example if Sidious senses how strong somebody is he does it via the force. Even when you say Hal Jordan is noticeable in the force, the lantern ring is not or it would surely confuse Sidious if he feels the entire power that stuck into it.

And here is what would happen. Sidious would try to manipulate Jordan but he resists in the moment Sidious realises his first attempt failed he rages out in anger and fires his famous lightning what is also shielded by Jordan. After that he totally flips and laughs then he puts out his wormhole. Jordan escapes the wormhole or is even able to evade it then he flies right at Sidious to punch him, Sidious tries to block but the power behind the punch is way beyond anything Sidious ever had blocked. Jordan punched Sidious head right off...then he tranforms into a yellow lantern and rules the Star Wars universe as the new dark lord! (could btw even happening that Lantern punches Sidious head off right from the start without a big fight if he playes dirty..)
