There are a few changes. The fight will be between SSJ2 Goku when he got revived and Majin Vegeta. Goku didn't seem to get any stronger during the Buu Saga so it doesn't matter

Considering no outside influence, Buu, Babidi and everyone else aren't a factor here. It's Goku and Vegeta, and ONLY them

Other than that everything else is identical to how it was originally

Win by any means necessary

Vegeta gets another L:

Haha I beat Kakarot!:

Hello Monkeys:

This is interesting. From what was shown in their battle, both fighters seemed pretty evenly matched, and both of them were capable of getting the edge over the other at different times in the battle. However, if SSJ3 isn't restricted, then I don't think Vegeta would have much chance. The form's power is far greater than anything Majin Vegeta could muster, and despite not having overcome its limitations yet, it should still be enough to take care of Vegeta. If SSJ3 is restricted, I really think it might just end inconclusively.

If SS3 is restricted, it's Inconclusive.

If SS3 isn't restricted, Vegeta kills Goku with self-destruction but he dies too, so it's Inconclusive too.

Would Vegeta really use self-destruction against Goku, though? The only times he's used it was to protect the people he loved and was done out of selflessness. I'm not sure whether Vegeta would want to take out Goku with a self-destruct, whether his pride would allow him to go out that way.

You don't really have to make it Majin Vegeta though, Vegeta retains that level of power always since it's just a potential unlock.

Anyways, I think it's just a stalemate if Goku keeps himself in SS2, probably more even than before because Goku is not dead and therefore his stamina isn't as great as he was while he was dead, I think if one of them slips even just a little then it's game over.

If Goku uses SS3 then it's ******* over for Vegeta, I don't think Goku would fall for Final Explosion if and only if Vegeta uses it, the power increase is so great that Goku could probably one shot Vegeta.

And it's likely that Goku will use it, if not for himself then Vegeta would demand that he uses it because he wants to fight and beat Kakarot at the top of his game, he was salty as **** when he learned he had it and didn't use it so of course he would demand that he uses it to fight him.

I don't think Goku in character will turn SSJ3 and stomp Vegeta, though it should still be restricted to make this match fair. Both have equal power levels in SSJ2, so this should be incon.

Nah, Vegeta can still force an incon with Final Explosion, even if Goku turns SS3. There's no need to restrict it.

Final Explosion took a long ass time to use and Buu is kinda an idiot.
I feel like Goku would just IT out of there if something like that gets used.

Something that keeps me from saying it'd be inconclusive if they were both stuck at SSJ 2 is that Goku spent that fight monitoring Buu. So much so its the whole reason Vegeta was able to knock him unconscious. You could say he was off guard but then like that goes to prove even further he wasn't giving the fight more serious attention. Another point worth mentioning in regards to Goku jobbing is that he still wanted to stay dead at the time, and have his family and friends solve the problem of Buu more than anything. Its the core internal reason why he was distracted by Buu, other than Buu being Buu.

Voting "Hey its me Goku"

Final Explosion takes some time to launch, time Goku could take to IT out of there or interrupt the explosion, depending on if it endangers the planet or not. I don't think Goku let's Vegeta get it off in any situation, SSJ3 or otherwise

I don't see why it wouldn't kill Goku, the attack nearly disintegrated Innocent Buu who was comparable to SS3 Goku and would've died if his regeneration didn't save him:
Buu's durability is inconsistent though, plus he was using much more ki against SSJ3 Goku than against Vegeta (he was more durable while fighting Goku). Regardless, Goku has ways to deal with FE like others have said above.

I'm voting Goku.
Vegeta's only Wincon outside of winning a long and arduous struggle is to Kamikaze, which Goku can pretty easily stop or at least avoid. Inversely, Goku has several more skills and techniques that grant a advantage- Instant Transmission, Solar Flare, etc.
Stat wise it evens out mostly, but Goku just has a better equipped arsenal and debatably more skill. And SSJ3 makes this Stomp-Ish

Useless against Vegeta since he can sense Ki.
Even against people who can sense Ki, it's still shown that Solar can disorient them greatly. Thus, in verse (Which this match technically fully is), this can work to at least disrupt Vegeta's sense of direction for a small time.

I would argue that Vegeta is more skilled at this point of the story, but anyway.
Personally, I don't see Vegeta having more skill than a Goku who trained for several years in Heaven with History's most famous martial artists, but I can see them being similar in skill.

Final explosion is just ki, and it can be deflected as we've seen with Vegeta vs Toppo. If Goku can go SS3 he can either blast through it or use IT while Vegeta kills himself. Final explosion also has a ridiculously exploitable startup time. Voting Goku.

Incon FRA.

If we use DB Legends, then you can knock/kill Vegeta before he finishes Final Explosion. So if he used it, Goku could probably charge up a Kamehameha to kill or at least incapacitate Vegeta if he needs to.
