Two monstrous menaces who can overwhelm their foes through adaptation face off on the battlefield. Will the Human Monster defeat the horrific alien and perhaps even become a hero, or will the Hive Mind's most ferocious warrior prove too skilled on the field of battle?

Rules

  • Bloodlusted
  • Garou is in monster form
  • The Swarmlord is on its own (so no Hive Guard, Carnifexes, Warriors, etc.), but can use all of its psychic powers
  • Victory by any means necessary
  • Speed is equalized for the sake of fairness
Location: An abandoned A-City outside of the Hero Association headquarters. Both fighters start 100 meters apart.

There can only be one perfect monster...

Swarmlord-1
Monster Garou art

While Garou likely has the advantage in sheer strength, The Swarmlord has better hax and is most likely the better strategist and fighter. I'd have to go with the Swarmlord, as long as it can take down Garou fast enough.

I wouldn't say Swarmlord is the better fighter, Garou's mimicry is pretty insane. That alongside reactive evolution should give Garou the win.

Swarmlord can equal and stomp people who've been fighting for thousands of years in close combat and strategy, which is far, far beyond anything Garou has ever done. He's not a bad fighter, but the Swarmlord is both vastly more intelligent and experienced. It also has various hax and various ways to kill Garou quickly.

Garou's mimicry and the ability to predict and dodge attacks should make up for his lack in experience in close combat. Garou's ability to predict and dodge allows Garou to avoid attacks from opponents that are faster than him, and with speed equalized that may be a problem for Swarmlord. Psychic Resistance due to Garou's immense will would also come in handy against Swarmlord's Psychic Powers.

I definitely don't doubt Garou would be able to shake off something like The Horror, and maybe get some extra resistance from Psychic Scream. Warp Blast is still pretty problematic, though.

The Swarmlord probably has the durability to survive a few of Garou's attacks, and is far more experienced in combat.

Bone swords ignore conventional durability, and there's a chance a warp blast can get through Garou's resistance. However, Garou is apparently immune to any attack that doesn't kill him. So, there's that. But the Swarmlord has a more varied aresenal anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Swarmlord has this, barely.

Fair enough; all i was thinking was that it might surpress Garou's phychic resistance (if it can do that) and leave him temporarily vunerable, 'till he adapted.

Shadow in the Warp doesn't affect resistances at all, unless they are actively mantained by psychic powers.

The SitW is sort of a psychic null field, but focused efforts can break through. Thus, in 40k, where communications are psychic, they can't penetrate. A Space Marine Librarian, with enough effort, however, probably could.
