How does that work? In real life, to react at something you need the information, and then you react accordingly. But if an information cannot go faster than light because Einstein, how do you react at something you have yet to know about?
 
Don't think too hard on it. Fiction is weird with things like light and sound. I mean, people can talk to each other despite zipping around at hypersonic speeds, see things despite moving faster than light, etc.
