When the ocean read the doctor mind, it literally exploded

What causes it to explode? Is it something like an overload of information?

If the explosion is an ability of the Doctor’s I’d phrase it as “limited explosion manipulation and unconventional resistance to mind manipulation (The Doctor’s mind contains so much information that [whatever the ocean is called] exploded upon attempting to read and absorb it.)”
If the explosion is a weakness of the ocean: “limited resistance to mind manipulation (The sheer quantity of information in The Doctor’s mind overwhelmed [whatever the ocean is called]’s attempt to read and absorb it.)”
