OK, Jersey probably is a little stronger, but Forest has better Intelligence, Range, Stamina and arguably better Stealth. So I think Forest has a better chance at winning this.

Devil doesn't seem to have a lot going for it. Going for the forest dragon for the reasons above

Actually, as stated on the Forest Dragon's profile, that species only uses fire for cooking its food, not in combat (which means no range advantage). Stamina...doesn't really matter and tbh it is kind of a joke on this wiki as we lack a standard stamina scaling system. Besides I doubt the battle will last long enough for that to be an issue. Stealth for both are negated by each other's enhanced senses. Intelligence is likely though, so it is brains vs brawn and mobility.

Also, i forgot about the Voice Mimicry thing. That could be useful in setting up a trap.

If it isn't something they do in combat, even when it got attacked by a tiger, I don't see why it would use it here. So yes, their is a way. Plus, it would make the Dragon loose its buoyancy, which it uses to keep its snake like body "floating" as it were. Using fire in combat anyway would leave it helpless, as its normal targets would be still aka dead opponents. Jersey Devil tends to attack by swooping from the sky when it can, so the dragon would have to target this superhumanly fast monster moving out of the sky to attack it, which would be difficult even if it had ever used the ability in combat. TLDR FD has been stated not to use fire in combat and wouldn't have the experience to use it efficiently in combat anyway, especially against a flying opponent.

"too much" is correct, but that also isn't taking into account that it would have to try to attack a flying opponent that is used to attacking from the sky. FD tries to use fire and JD will just fly away from the armature attack.

OK, maybe it won't use it's fire, but doesn't the Forest Dragon climb trees and glide? Maybe it could tag Jersey and knock him to the ground for a moment.

Sure it could if the Jersey Devil weren't attacking it while it tried to do that but of course, there is always the possibility. It could potentially tag it while it is swooping, though it is unlikely. Issue for the FD is it is fighting something with superior mobility, which is something it usually has on its side, as well as one that can ignore its stealth.
